Unlimited mileage for Hertz, except in Punta Arenas, which includes 300 km (187 miles) free per day; each additional km (0.625 miles) will be charged at USD For Hertz, the Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is applicable without deductible except for rentals in Punta Arenas, where the insurance considers USD VAT included. CDW covers up to USD in material damages caused to third parties; and up to USD for physical damages or death caused to third parties. - For Europcar, the CDW covers up to USD in material damages caused to third parties. - Replacement and repairs, in case of mechanical inconvenience not generated by the passenger. - Insurance coverage is not applicable for rentals on Easter Island. - TAG (automatic toll device) permit. Car rental in Santiago and Viña del Mar also includes the use of new private concessionoperated highways in Santiago city and surroundings. Approximately USD 10 per day. RESTRICTIONS - In case of 4x4 vehicles overturning without the involvement of a third party, a deductible/excess of USD will be charged. - CDW does not cover car wheels damage (except in collisions). - Vehicles hired in categories B and C, are not allowed to go into Argentina. - The vehicle driver must over 22 years old, have a valid international driving license and leave his/her credit card details at rental office. B and C category Vehicles are not allowed to go into Argentina. In case of longer rentals, an additional policy must be taken out which will have the same validity. - Drop off costs (pick up in one city and drop off in another). - Vehicle Transportation costs in case of moving it from a foreign city into the Chilean boundaries, if this should result in accidents, mechanical failures, or other unforeseen events generated by the passenger. IN CASE OF EVENT - We would like to indicate you the steps you have to follow to inform an event or accident, it includes any irregular situation, which implies any damage to the vehicle, such as: broken windows, minor accidents or similar situations and that allows the passenger to make next activities: - Read the chapter associated to Events in the rent contract. - Go to the nearest police station (Carabineros de Chile) and register the incident. Each event must have the Carabineros register. - Call to the emergency number giving by the Rent a Car supplier, it is indicated in the contract (Europcar or Hertz). - Follow the instructions indicated by the corresponding personnel.
