1 PROPANE VEHICLE INCENTIVES FOR Tennessee BUSINESSES Propane engine incentives are available to private fleets NEW to propane in the state of Tennessee. A private fleet is defined as a business with 3 or more vehicles. The funds are seed money for fleets to try their first 2 or 3 propane vehicles. We believe after your first couple of propane vehicles you will see the benefits of going propane without the incentive and continue to adopt propane into your fleet. It is highly-encouraged that fleets complete a pre-qualification prior to conversion or purchase to ensure you have met all guidelines. Incentives will be awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis. After you have ordered your conversion kit or propane vehicle, you may reserve funds while waiting on your conversion to be completed or while you are awaiting the shipment of your vehicle. Reservation forms are available upon request to those fleets who have passed pre-qualification and who have a copy of valid sales or purchase order. Please note these guidelines are subject to change. INCENTIVE AMOUNTS New Dedicated OEM LPG Engines TPERC is offering incentives for the purchase of new, factory-direct LPG; engine (Original Equipment from the Manufacturer) (OEM). Incentives will be available for the incremental cost between gas/diesel vehicles and a LPG vehicle of $1,000.. Conversions TPERC is offering incentives for the purchase of engines converted to LPG of $1,000 for the conversion. These may be bi-fuel and/or dedicated conversion systems. PARTICIPATION GUIDELINES PARTICIPATION GUIDELINES 1. Participating Dealers/Installers should ask Purchaser to complete the incentive application. 2. Participating Dealers/Installers are responsible for educating the Purchaser about the care, maintenance and operation of the vehicle and/or conversion system.

2 3. The Purchaser shall agree to follow the equipment manufacturer s recommendations for maintenance of propane engine and conversion equipment. 4. Participating Dealers/Installers must be licensed by the state of Tennessee to sell, install, or service propane systems and vehicles. The license number must be provided on the incentive application. 5. For conversions, Participating Dealers/Installers must provide odometer reading prior to conversion. The Purchaser s fleet vehicle must have less than 40,000 miles prior to conversion to qualify for the TPERC Vehicle Incentive. 6. The Purchaser must be a private fleet (e.g. business). A private fleet is defined as a business with 3 or more vehicles. Fleet vehicles awarded a TPERC incentive must be registered and operated in Tennessee. 7. Purchaser CANNOT have any other propane vehicles in their fleet prior to adding the vehicle that you they are seeking the incentive for. They must be new to propane. 8. The Purchaser shall agree that the vehicle for which an incentive is provided must remain in use, in the service area for a period of three (3) years or 100,000 miles. 9. All new OEM propane vehicle engine and/or all conversion systems must be EPA and/or CARB certified systems. A valid copy of certificate must accompany the application. 10. The Purchaser will be required to submit a copy of purchase/financing agreement or invoice showing price paid for new vehicle and/or conversion. 11. The Purchaser will be required to submit short pre-incentive survey at time of application, and a post-incentive survey within 6 months after the award. APPLICATIONS APPLICATIONS The completed application must be submitted within 90 days of the purchase or conversion date. Incomplete applications will not be processed. The applications should include: Completed incentive application Computer-generated PAID invoice for each LPG vehicle purchase and/or conversion. Vehicle Identification Number(s) (VIN #) with this application Copy of Tennessee Vehicle Registration for the LPG vehicle Copy of the valid EPA/CARB certification for LPG vehicle you are seeking incentive for Completed copy of Pre-Incentive Survey Completed copy of a completed W-9 for your company. 4 Propane Vehicle Incentive Reservation Form To better assist you, we are allowing business fleets who intend on participating in the TPERC Vehicle Incentive Program to reserve their incentives before their conversion or prior to receiving their vehicle. Once completed and approved by TPERC, the incentive reservation is valid for up to 60 days. All reservation applicants that are accepted will receive an approval notice. Please note this form does not serve as an official incentive application. You must complete an official application, meet all qualifying guidelines, and provide all requested paperwork to receive the incentive. A purchase order/sales order for a propane conversion kit or for a propane-powered vehicle must be submitted with this form to be eligible for reservation consideration.
