1 INFRASTRUCTURE AND TRASPORT IN CALABRIA ROADS AND HIGHWAYS THE A3 SALERNO REGGIO CALABRIA HIGHWAY Considered the biggest work in the field of road transport directly, built by the government, it is managed by state agency ANAS and it is toll free. It is 442,9 km long and pass through the provinces of Salerno, Potenza, Cosenza, Catanzaro, Vibo Valentia and Reggio Calabria. As extension of Autostrada del Sole, it represents the main car flow way connecting the big European highway system to Sicily and to the extreme southern Tyrrhenian regions tying to Corridoio 1 linking Palermo to Berlino.
