4 The first real-time indexed environmental monitoring and reporting solution NRGence TM Energy Intelligence Energy Box PDUs have sensors that provide real-time information on your server room s environmental conditions, using built-in DCIM software. It is the only intelligent PDU and Energy Box solution on the market to automatically translate data into a Rack Cooling Index (RCI) and Return Temperature Index (RTI) environmental report, which is pivotal to creating energy-saving guidelines to optimise cooling and airflow. RCI and RTI metrics have already been endorsed for use in telecom and data centres by ASHRAE (formerly the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers) and ISO (the International Organization for Standardization). The US Department of Energy has also incorporated it into its DC Pro software tools for data centre energy assessments and its DECEP (Data Center Energy Practitioner) programme. This NRGence TM solution equips data centre managers with real-time NPIs (Normalised Performance Indicators) in analytical reports which also incorporate other measurements to generate PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness), RCI and RTI to meet ISO requirements.

5 The first power overload protection device Some of the mid-range and all of the high-end NRGence TM Energy Intelligence PDUs have builtin proactive overload protection. This prevents a single circuit from triggering a shutdown of all electrical systems and hardware in a room or building if it becomes overburdened. With these PDUs installed in a data centre, power outages will no longer be an issue. It is the most secure and reliable power distribution solution available, and also protects all of the IT equipment, and its environment, in your data centre via a highly advanced power grid.
