2 Calendar of Holidays in the USA On the following pages you will find a list of Holidays in the USA. These include USA Federal holidays, Christian holidays, and Pagan holidays, as well as full moons and fun holidays. Every effort has been made to ensure their accuracy. However, for the Pagan holidays especially, some of your celebration dates may be different. For example, many Wiccans celebrate Imbolc/Candlemas on February 2 nd, while other Pagans celebrate on February 1 st. If you are in the Southern Hemisphere, your Pagan and Muggle Holidays will be different as they celebrate the turn of the Wheel. These holidays are meant to serve as a guide for you. Please check with your individual countries and belief systems for particulars. Note there are not holidays included for Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu, and many other beliefs. If you follow these beliefs, please add your own appropriate holidays as needed. I also encourage you to add any other days that are special or important to you, and to share these with your list and clients. Fun holidays are a great way to build relationships with your list and your clients. Google has built a great relationship with people around its April Fool s Day pranks. People look forward to these events each year with anticipation. Also make sure to research and note events such as the Oscars, Country Music or MTV Awards, first baseball pitch of the season, SuperBowl, and any other event that you enjoy and want to share. 2

3 Do a special blog, hold a fun event, or do something unexpected around certain holidays. Of course you will not use all of the ones in this guide, but the list provided will help you choose which ones you might like to focus on during the year. Not only is this just fun, but it helps build relationships and gain trust with your clients. You don t want to sell, sell, sell all the time! It is helpful to write out your overall business plan as well so that you can see the flow of your business throughout the year. This will help you plan your group classes, when to release your Signature Programs, and when to release different ebooks or guides. Each year I suggest writing everything down. Make sure you have a steady flow of income for the year. Look to see where things are a little more bare, and plan an event around that time to increase your income. Plan VIP days, speaking events, etc. Be sure to write in any conferences or trainings you are also taking during the year, as well as any other expected travel dates. Many successful coaches encourage you to plan your holidays and time off first. This is very important so that you have plenty of time to rest and rejuvenate after all of your hard work! It is a great idea to share your year plan with your spouse and family and discuss any plans that they have. Look at how everyone s schedule will fit together. Add birthdays, anniversaries, and family celebrations to your calendar. It takes some effort, but it is possible to create a calendar with all of the important things on it, and the rewards of being less stressed during the year are totally worth it! 3
