5 Fulfilling the Vision Since 2011 we have had over 400 Course Starts Since July over 90 students have registered in the BSc Arch Recently we have had our first graduate from the PBDA We have had over 100 referrals from the CACB and now from the NAAB (National Architectural Accreditation Board) in the United States as well We have students taking courses with the Centre to improve their GPA to gain entry to Masters of Architecture programs

23 Research On March 25 th the RAIC Centre for Architecture at Athabasca University hosted a research workshop to develop a research strategy for next generation green buildings It was attended by 50 of the country s top architects, engineers, building product manufacturers and researchers representing all regions of the country

24 Research Themes At the workshop the following research themes were suggested: 1. Healthy and sustainable materials 2. The use of information technologies to monitor (and understand) building performance 3. Policy development 4. Retrofitting of existing buildings 5. Sustainable northern housing
