4 IPL/Laser permanent hair reduction Why live with unwanted hair? Lasers and intense pulsed light systems offer a safe, long-term solution to unwanted, excess hair for both men and women. Treatment is suitable for the face and body, is quick and results can be seen after just a few sessions. How does it work? Light is absorbed by the melanin (the pigment in the hair follicle). The light energy heats the pigment and effectively destroys the hair follicle without damaging the surrounding cell. The laser or IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is placed on the skin and a short pulse of light is released, which target many follicles simultaneously. The applicator is then moved to the neighbouring area of the skin and the process is repeated until the entire area is covered. How does the treatment feel? Treatment sensation varies but is often described as a flick of an elastic band. No anaesthetic is required and most clients describe the discomforts as moderate and tolerable. 5 IPL Rosacea and Thread vein treatment Intense Pulsed Light can provide a long term solution to facial problems such as red flushing (rosacea), thread veins and red spots as well as unsightly leg veins, with minimal risk in just a few quick and easy treatments. How are thread veins treated? Both Intense Pulse Light and laser systems emit light which is readily absorbed by blood vessels, heating them to point where they are destroyed. For subsequent visits please arrive 5 minutes prior to your appointment especially if you need to park. Cancellation policy We know things come up from time to time which is why as long as you give us more than 24 hours notice we will happily re-schedule your appointment to a time that is convenient for you. A cancellation charge will occur if you give us less than 24 hours notice. Missed appointments If you miss your appointment on more than one occasion a missed appointment charge will occur. Late appointments If you are running late for your appointment we will try to complete your treatment fully however unfortunately we may have to cut your treatment short by the amount of time you are late.
