TOME & PRINCIPE MACAO Where we are We are Official Industrial Property Agents, fact that allows us to act before our National Trademark and Patent Office. Headquartered in a member State and as official representatives at the OHIM (Office for the Harmonization of the Internal Market), organization responsible for the registration of Trademarks and Design in the European Union, we are able to act on behalf of all our Clients in this jurisdiction. In both these jurisdictions the protection of IP Rights is uniquely promoted by local official organisms. Having the experience, knowledge and legal support from local offices, we are able to securely intervene in these countries. These countries are members of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), allowing IP Rights to be protected through International Registration or through National Registration on local official organisms. We devise a suitable protection plan, and monitor all the proceedings in order to maintain our Client s granted Rights according to their best interests. PATENTS DESIGNS / MODELS ANTERIORITY AND CLEARANCE SEARCHES SURVEILLANCE OF IP RIGHTS We advise our Clients on the best way to protect their inventions. We assist them on the preparation and elaboration of the required documents for the filing of either a National Patent or Utility Model application or a European Patent application, and we oversee all developments throughout the process. We promote the registration of National or Community Designs / Models before the proper offices. We oversee the grant of our Clients Rights and we then maintain those Rights to keep them active and in force. We perform searches on national, international and community databases and, based on the results obtained, we elaborate reports on the viability of the project, as well as a legal analysis on the possibility of registering the signal, which will allow our Clients to make well informed decisions on how to proceed. The information contained in our database and the collaboration with associates abroad, allow us to detect and inform our Clients, in due time and after careful analysis, of new Intellectual Property applications that may conflict with our Clients priority Rights.

7 LITIGATION DOMAIN NAMES COPYRIGHT TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER OTHER SERVICES Closely cooperating with an experienced team of Lawyers and Attorneys who are Official Industrial Property Agents, we can assure our Clients a competent protection of their IP Rights during all stages, from the administrative process at the Patent and Trademark Office, to all legal matters related with the same. We register TLD s (Top Level Domains), in several jurisdictions. In 2005 we achieved the category of Registrars before the national organization responsible for coordinating and maintaining Portuguese domain names. We represent our Clients on Copyright matters and related Rights, through the protection of their intellectual creations, such as literary, scientific and artistic work. Our services can provide an effective course of action on litigious matters, in case an attempt of copy or reproduction of protected material is detected.
