23 Examinations and grading system Exam period in the summer semester 2014: 14 July 2 August 2014 Your final grades will be released in your TUMonline account by 31 October 2014 at the latest Grading system: 1.0 (best grade) to 5.0 (4.1 to 5.0 = fail) TUM grades and corresponding ECTS grades: 1,0 to 1,5 very good (excellent performance) 1,6 to 2,5 good (performance well above average) 2,6 to 3,5 satisfactory (average performance) 3,6 to 4,0 sufficient (performance meets the standards in spite of deficiencies) 4,1 to 5,0 fail (performance does not meet the standards because of substantial deficiencies) Failed courses officially do not count as attended courses and therefore are not certified in the transcript Rules for the conversion of TUM grades to your home university s grades will be provided by your home university 25

We will visit the Viktualienmarkt which is Munich s most famous market and learn more about other companies with a long tradition in Munich. Guided tour through the brewery of Weihenstephan 29 April 2014 The bayerische Staatsbrauerei Weihenstephan, founded in the year 1040, is the world s oldest brewing place still existing.
