Along with our commitment to students, we are also committed to the people and communities across the 11-county region we proudly serve. We work closely with area school districts to expand opportunities in dual enrollment classes and technical programs, as well as providing adult education and literacy classes and a broad range of workforce training and development targeting in-demand jobs throughout the region. Our classes are small and our instructors are highly qualified professionals with a passion for teaching. We offer the Associate of Arts, Associate of Science and Associate of Applied Science degrees in a broad range of disciplines. We also offer degrees and certificates in 17 technical programs, from cosmetology and welding to wildlife management, law enforcement and nursing. Finally, you should know that in 2011 Southwest Texas Junior College was named one of the top ten community colleges in the nation by a panel of education experts representing the prestigious Aspen Institute.
