WELCOME TO LANGSTONE TECHNOLOGY PARK The aim of this booklet is to guide you through services and support available to businesses and employees onsite, important contact numbers and where to go for help. You can also find information about LTP on the website: WHO IS FASSET? All facilities and property management services at LTP are provided by Fasset Ltd. This includes: Security, Finance, Reception, Housekeeping, Engineering, Maintenance, Logistics, Mailroom, Procurement, Conferencing, Helpdesk, Marketing, Data and Communications, Business Excellence, Project Management, Environmental, Waste, and Health and Safety. 5 ARCHIVING Fasset offer a records retention service at LTP. This involves collection, safe storage and retrieval of your archived documents or records. For more information about this service, please contact: helpdesk@fasset.co.uk CAR PARKING There are 1,500 car parking spaces at LTP for use by employees based at the site and visitors; and an attendant regularly patrolling the area. Car sharing and disabled bays are also available. All vehicles must display a valid permit available from Security. CONFERENCE AND MEETING ROOMS LTP has a suite of 5 meeting rooms, 5 conference rooms and a large Auditorium that can seat up to 180 delegates. Tenants have various arrangements regarding entitlements/discounts etc. and bookings can be made up to 3 months in advance for the Auditorium and 1 month for other rooms. All bookings can be made via the conference team (details page 3) who will advise cancelation policy etc. There is also a range of catering and hospitality packages available. Full details are on the website: FIRE PROCEDURE If you discover a fire you must: Raise the alarm by operating the nearest fire alarm call point Inform Security on Ext if safe to do so Assist any member of the public or staff who needs help Evacuate by the nearest safe exit to the fire assembly point Obey Fire Marshall and Fire Wardens instructions Do not leave the fire assembly point for any reason until told to do so by the Fire Marshall / Fire Service. If you hear the intermittent fire alarm you must: Prepare to evacuate Assist personnel to fire exit in accordance with their Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan Ensure coat and car keys are close at hand Shut down equipment in accordance with you department procedures Do not evacuate. If you hear the continuous fire alarm you must: Evacuate immediately Leave the premises by the nearest available exit, closing all doors behind you Move directly to the fire assembly point for the building being evacuated. Do not use lifts Do not shout or run - this may cause panic Do not leave the fire assembly point for any reason until told to do so by the Fire Marshall / Fire Service. 4

6 Your responsibilities You must know how to find the escape routes provided You must know how to raise the alarm You must know the location of the fire assembly points If you are unsure about your business fire procedures or your nearest fire exit, please ensure you find out. FITNESS CENTRE The ActivHealth fitness centre at LTP is located in B7000 basement. It is open to all onsite employees and the general public and information about membership, facilities and classes are available: HEALTH and SAFETY Fasset is committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment for all employees at LTP and all new employees and visitors are required to undertake a briefing and short test to ensure they are aware of what to do in an emergency situation. Fasset has a dedicated health and safety consultancy service available to individual businesses to help ensure they comply with current legislation in respect of workplace health and safety, including: Guidance and advice with writing and implementing health and safety policies, specific to individual business requirements. Assistance with undertaking risk assessments to satisfy legislative requirements including: Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005; and other statutory requirements. Providing both externally certified and bespoke professional health and safety training. For further information or to arrange a consultation, please contact: helpdesk@fasset.co.uk HELPDESK The LTP Helpdesk is the central point of contact to report any onsite incidents or to make service requests including: Health and Safety Housekeeping Logistics / Postal Maintenance Waste Management The Helpdesk is manned weekdays to Out of hours calls/ s may be answered by Security or by answerphone and dealt with the following working day. You can also any requests to: helpdesk@fasset.co.uk HOSPITALITY AND CATERING ARAMARK provide the catering services at LTP. 5

7 Hospitality For meetings and conferences they can provide a complete delivered service of freshly prepared food and beverages to your chosen location. Catering The Park Restaurant is located in and offers a daily choice of hot and cold freshly prepared food and beverages. Opening times: Breakfast - weekdays to Lunch (hot food counters) - weekdays to Starbucks The Starbucks concession is located in the middle of the Park Restaurant seating area you cannot miss it! It serves a selection of premium coffee, tea and drinks plus a range of deli-style sandwiches, muffins and cakes. It is open weekdays to (Friday 16.00). There is also a Starbucks coffee cart in B6000 Main Reception open weekdays to and to Shop, Vending and ATM The LTP shop is fully stocked with newspapers, drinks, snacks/soup, stamps and everyday essential items. It also offers a dry cleaning drop and collect service. There are various food and drink vending options available across LTP including a dedicated area located within the restaurant where there is also an ATM. Information, costs, menus and hospitality booking forms are available from the website: HOUSEKEEPING The Housekeeping team provide the cleaning service for the common areas and business tenants at LTP. They are onsite weekdays to and a skeleton team at weekends. There also offer additional cleaning services including: Deep clean DSE clean Telephone Upholstery Housekeeping services can be requested via the Helpdesk: helpdesk@fasset.co.uk INFORMATION COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY (ICT) SERVICES Our dedicated engineers can provide a range of solutions from up to five national suppliers/carriers of telecoms and data services. 6

8 Data Take advantage of our connectivity options and provide your business with a diverse leased line connection for the price of a standard ADSL connection. With improved performance and failover services, your business will be more online than ever. Data Centre Services Fasset can provide onsite co-location services within our datacentre, offering rack space with UPS protected power supplies supported by diesel alternator standby electrical power supply. The room is temperature controlled with full fire detection and security access system. Data Backup If the worst happens you need to know that your business data is protected. Fasset offer a comprehensive, resilient and replicated data backup service. We will extract, encrypt, transmit and store essential data in replicated data centres and return it to you at your demand. With no need for agents or licenses our solution is fully managed, secure and simple to use. Telephony Our VoIP telephony services make use of cutting edge virtualised PBX solutions, to deliver astounding quality telephone services anywhere with an internet connection. Many companies onsite (and at our other business park locations) use these services and we would be delighted to offer an initial consultation to talk about the benefits. Additional services include Contact Centre services, Call Recording features and more. MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS Fasset has a dedicated team that specialise in supporting the development of management systems for business, whether this is to a certified standard or not. Certifications could include: ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and BS OHSAS MULTICULTURAL/PRAYER ROOM There is a Multicultural/Prayer Room situated on the link floor B6000, to enable people of all faiths to find a quiet retreat for prayer and meditation. For more information please contact the Helpdesk: helpdesk@fasset.co.uk OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH The Occupational Health Centre is located on the link floor B6000 and supports businesses at LTP through the provision of specialist medical services. Research has shown that employee ill-health represents a significant cost to both business and the individual. With the rise in work related ill-health including stress, depression, anxiety and musculoskeletal problems, the Occupational Health team at LTP can work with your business to develop preventative strategies which deliver tangible results whilst fulfilling your duty of care and legal obligations. The Occupational Health Centre is staffed by fully qualified registered nurses who are trained in occupational health and safety and offer a professional advisory service. They also offer a number of additional services and can bespoke programmes to suit business requirements: 7

9 Health surveillance and screening Attendance management Health awareness and wellbeing First Aid Training For more information please contact the Occupational Health Team directly: POSTAL SERVICES Please note that postal services are for business purposes only and any personal deliveries will not be accepted. The onsite mailroom team offer the following business services: Mailroom a daily postal delivery and collection service for letters and/or small parcels. They can also offer advice on international postage and delivery options. In addition*, the team offer a door-to-door stationery service taking advantage of any discounts our bulk purchasing power allows. Goods-in / loading bay the fully trained team can accept deliveries or arrange collection of larger items (from a parcel to a pallet). All deliveries and/or collections are recorded. This investment has covered a wide variety of work including extensive office fit up works, general site development, data centre and R&D laboratory space; and case studies are available on request. Typically Fasset provide a fully integrated project delivery service with a turn-key responsibility. Using technology and expertise Fasset can work with your business to deliver a solution based on your criteria. The services available include: Health and Safety including compliance with relevant legislation such as CDM Regulations Development of defined cost/delivery plans Development of a full statement of requirements (SOR) from criteria Tailoring design solutions to meet clients brief Procurement and contracting management Project implementation Commissioning work and project management Logistic management Final accounting and clearance of snagging Post contract review and future process improvement. 10 RECEPTION SERVICES There are two main Receptions at LTP: Main Reception - B6000 South Reception - (this is also where you will find Security) The Reception team offer full visitor management and support conferencing and meeting bookings. ROAD SAFETY The site speed limit is 20 mph. Speeds within parking areas should be reduced further in consideration of others parking or leaving the area. Always follow the directional arrows. When parking adjacent to pedestrian walkways, do not allow bumpers or tow bars to obstruct the footpath. The speed limit in the vicinity of the nursery is reduced to 5 mph. SECURITY At LTP security is paramount and the onsite team provide numerous services to ensure that the working environment is secure for all employees, including: Onsite Security Team onsite 24/7, based at South Reception Access control there is a proximity access control system in operation Bespoke ID badges employees must have their badges visible at all times whilst onsite Tailored access limit access to business areas as required 24/7 CCTV constant monitoring of internal and external areas with data capture and playback technology Bespoke services these include: o Lost and found property service o Confidential waste pick up and disposal o Custodian of restricted access key. SUSTAINABLE TRAVEL TO WORK OPTIONS The following sustainable travel options are available to employees based at LTP: Car Share Scheme An area of the main car park is reserved solely for the use of employees who share the journey into work with a colleague or colleagues, typically up to three people can share a parking bay. For more information please contact: security@fasset.co.uk Secure Cycle Sheds There are two cycle sheds adjacent to B5000, with proximity access card readers on the entrances and exits, and another one in the north car park which has a code lock. 9

11 LTP also offers showers, lockers and a drying room adjacent to South Reception for use by any cyclists or other employees. For more information please contact: security@fasset.co.uk WASTE COLLECTIONS There is a daily waste removal service and range of additional collections available. LTP promotes environmental responsibility and works with a number of waste partners to recycle the following: Cardboard bales Print cartridges Pallets White paper Confidential waste WEEE items such as IT equipment Metal, tin cans and plastic bottles There are also bottle/clothing/books and media collection banks within the recycling area near the western entrance of LTP. WORKPLACE CHILDCARE Cherry Childcare has a branch located at LTP near the South Reception entrance. Cherry Childcare was established in 1993 and is a family owned and run independent group with 10 nurseries across Surrey, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and into Hampshire. They provide childcare for children aged 3 months through to 5 in a purpose built nursery encompassing 3 dedicated rooms specific to the development needs of the children; plus a large outdoor play area.
