1 CONTEXT Explains what are the different modes of the hardware key, and what each mode allows or not. PROBLEMS TO AVOIID Machine credits deficit Hardware key confirmation issues (wrong pc, ) IINTRODUCTIION In this application note, we will present you the different modes of the hardware keys, and a methodology to work with two hardware keys at the same time. The first thing to know is that in order to work, the hardware keys need now to be confirmed on a machine (sedentary dongle), meaning that you can use it with their full functionalities only on the machine where they have been confirmed (see below for more explanation). Picture 1 : Generic confirmation window You cannot confirm two hardware keys with softwares using credits (NL220, NLFacilities) on the same pc. The idea is to have a key that will be left on the jobsite, with restricted functionalities (Maintenance mode). This key will have the installation credits. To enable full functionalities, you can plug an integrator dongle and work with two dongles at a time. In this case, the credits will be consumed on the Maintenance key. The idea is to have a key that will be left on the jobsite, with restricted functionalities (Maintenance mode). This key will have the installation credits.
