And you may be able to drive a higher-spec vehicle than you thought possible. We offer two types of Hire agreements: Contract Hire or Finance Lease. Contract Hire lets you drive a new vehicle and return it to us at the end of the contract. Finance Lease gives you a little more budgeting flexibility and the chance to share in potential proceeds when the vehicle is sold. You won t actually own the vehicle at the end of either of the contracts but you will avoid the additional worries of ownership. Check the suitability for your business using the table below. Contract Hire: how it works Initial payment Monthly payments Hand the vehicle back* Our Finance Lease packages give added flexibility on the size of the deposit, length of agreement and monthly rental costs. You can choose between a full payout or a balloon contract that can help you lower your monthly payments. As long as you ve looked after your vehicle, when you eventually sell it to a third party you can share in any excess proceeds. And if you re VAT registered, you may be able to reclaim some of the rental costs as a business expense as well. Contract terms Repayments: between 12 and 60 months Maximum mileage: 200,000 at contract end Finance Lease balloon Choose the balloon option to lower your monthly rental payments, or drive a new vehicle more often. You make a final balloon payment at the end, which is typically settled from the sale proceeds. There s straightforward Hire Purchase with one simple deposit, fixed monthly payments, then an option to purchase fee at the end of the contract. Alternatively, Lease Purchase lets you defer a proportion of the vehicle s value as a balloon payment at the end of the agreement. This allows you to reduce your fixed monthly payments, freeing up more capital for your business or you could choose a higher-specification vehicle. And there s a good measure of flexibility to suit your budget. Simply agree a deposit that suits your current cash flow, then repay the balance over the term of the agreement you decide on from 12 to 60 months. The longer the term, the lower the fixed monthly payments. We ll help you adjust this to suit your monthly budget. Once you ve made your last payment, and paid the option to purchase fee, your business then owns the vehicle outright. Deferring a balloon payment to the end of the agreement can allow your business to own a higher spec vehicle yet still keep control of cashflow. At the end of the agreement full ownership will transfer to the customer following payment of all instalments and charges, including an Option to Purchase fee, or if you choose to go into a new agreement, you can agree a part-exchange with your Van Centre. And as your vehicle gets older, Volkswagen servicing helps pre-empt and solve problems before they happen. Depending on what works best for your business, we have two service options either Pay Monthly or Pay Upfront. Whether you choose Pay Monthly or Pay Upfront, you get the same great level of Volkswagen service. That means: 100% VOLKSWAGEN quality parts with a two-year warranty 100% VOLKSWAGEN trained technicians, with 12 months warranty on labour 100% VOLKSWAGEN diagnostics to identify and fix any problems 100% VOLKSWAGEN service, with collection and delivery, or courtesy vehicles to get you in, out and back to work before you know

9 SERVICING 17 Fixed-cost maintenance And spread your costs A fixed-cost maintenance plan will allow you to keep your vehicle in great condition while taking the strain off your finances. There are three levels of cover to choose from to allow you to budget for your vehicle s service, maintenance, and if you want, tyres included too. Your plan can be tailored around the number of miles you drive each year so you only pay for what you need. In fact, you can base it on anything from 5,000 to 40,000 miles per year, and you can have 2, 3 or 4 years cover. Together we can see if Pay Upfront is a better value solution. For example, by paying for future services now, you benefit from today s prices. There are no catches just some extra breathing space so you can choose the best annual policy. Annual insurance Should the unexpected happen, our comprehensive cover is designed to get you straight back to on the road, with the absolute minimum of fuss or expense. That includes a range of extra features that come as standard.

12 Great cover that comes as standard Gap Insurance INSURANCE 23 Genuine Volkswagen parts In the event of a claim, your vehicle will be repaired within the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles approved paint and body network, using only genuine parts. And all repairs are guaranteed for three years. Courtesy vehicle While your van is being repaired, we ll lend you a courtesy van of a similar size, subject to availability. Cover for breakage and damage to glass If the glass in your vehicle is damaged we replace it and repair any scratches caused to the bodywork. This does not affect your no-claims discount. Tools We cover your tools up to 1,000 against loss or theft from your van, provided your van is securely locked. Personal belongings We cover your personal belongings in your van up to 500 against loss or damage caused by an accident, theft or attempted theft. Legal-expenses cover up to 100,000 This is for recovering uninsured losses during an accident that isn t your fault, including access to 24-hour motoring legal advice.
