We engineer, design, fabricate and deliver a wide variety of pole-lines developed to exceed the highest standards of our customers. In 1958, the Polesa Group was born; founded by a young entrepreneur, Gonzalo Ramirez, the company produced pole-line hardware for the utility industry, quickly becoming one of the leading hardware producers in Mexico. Throughout the years, the Polesa Group has continued to expand, developing new product lines such as steel tapered poles (1964), luminaire fixtures (1972), and steel transmission and distribution poles (1975). Currently, the Polesa Group maintains dominant shares of the transmission and lighting pole markets in Mexico and is quickly becoming a global leader in the steel pole market.

Industria de Alumbrado y Herrajes, S.A. de C.V.. (IALHSA), headquartered in Guadalajara, Mexico, is the leading supplier of pole-line hardware in the Mexican utility market. IALHSA also compliments POMESA by producing a line of cobra-head type luminaire fixtures. 4 Our People Over the years, TransAmerican Power Products, Inc. has assembled an unmatched team of quality professionals, with key personnel having many years of experience in the steel pole market. This team has been recruited, extensively trained, and supplied with stateof-the-art equipment to represent TAPP and service our customers in a professional manner. Our Customer Service Department is trained to answer any inquiry, ranging from quotation requests to shipping information. Our staff of Licensed Professional Engineers, located in both the United States and Mexico, are capable of designing small parts or sophisticated steel structures. Advanced computer systems and design programs assure efficient designs guaranteed to meet our customer s requirements. Computer-aided drafting equipment provides clear and concise details that satisfy both manufacturing and job site construction requirements. 5 Production Control Modern computer controlled inventory and production control systems provide state-of-the-art-scheduling capabilities insuring a smooth flow of product through the manufacturing process. In addition to the scheduling programs complete traceability for all steel used in the manufactured product is readily available. The information available through the traceability program includes mill test reports, heat lot numbers, and physical and chemical properties of the specific steel used. Quality Assurance The quality assurance program has top down management support and is staffed with personnel fully trained and certified to perform magnetic particle, ultrasonic testing and visual inspection in accordance with AWS requirements.

6 Manufacturing TransAmerican Power Products Inc. is headquartered in Houston, Texas and also has offices in La Capilla, Guadalajara, and Mexico City. Our 700,000 square foot production facility is located in Guadalajara, Mexico. It employs hundreds of well-trained, skilled workers operating some of the highest capacity steel pole manufacturing equipment in the world. Large Poles: MG and Esab numerically controlled plasma cutting equipment with computer downloading capability is the primary cutting process used by manufacturing. The HydraPower 2000 ton press brake and Delta 700 ton press brakes, set in tandem, are used to manufacture one piece long seam tube sections up to 60 feet in length. State-of-the-art submerged arc long seam welding equipment (Lincoln Electric) uses a pull through process that will accommodate varying tube

7 section lengths. Also, hardware such as vangs, arm boxes, climbing hardware and other attachments are welded in accordance with AWS specifications. The capability of the finishing area is broad in scope and offers a large selection of paint colors, outside galvanizing on large tube sections and in-house galvanizing on smaller parts. Below-grade protection and weathering steel are also available. Small Poles: For small shafts, raw material, in the form of coil steel, is processed by uncoiling, leveling and cutting the coil steel to length. This leveled steel is then formed into round tapered shafts by using round dies and either Cincinnati or Chicago high-speed mechanical press brakes or a tandem Delta hydraulic press. A submerged arc welding process provides a fast, efficient weld that meets AWS welding codes. Poles can be produced in several configurations and used in a variety of applications. An assortment of finishes are available such as galvanizing, painting, powder coating, primed coating and weathering steel.

8 Products Transmission & Distribution Poles TAPP s utility division offers steel poles in an unlimited range of sizes and configurations, as well as H-frames and substation structures. Standard wood equivalent poles are offered in ten different classifications ranging from 40 to 110 feet in height. Finishes available for Transmission and Distribution Poles include hot-dipped galvanizing, weathering steel, metalizing, painting and Corrocote II Classic. Area Lighting Poles Round Tapered, Square Tapered, Straight Square, or Straight Round - with all of these standard options TAPP is THE supplier for your area lighting requirements. TAPP can also custom design any area pole to meet your needs. All Area Lighting Poles are available in hot-dipped galvanized, powder coated or painted finishes.

9 Roadway Lighting Poles TAPP offers a wide variety of standard configurations for Roadway Lighting Poles in lengths from 25 to 45 as well as single or double luminaire arms which are manufactured as tapered tube, pipe or truss arms. In addition, TAPP has the ability to custom design to your exact specifications. TAPP offers these poles with hot-dipped galvanized, powder coated or painted finishes. Highmast Lighting Poles TAPP is your Highmast Lighting Pole source, offering a complete line of standard configurations. These poles offer the convenience of ground level service resulting in lower maintenance costs. TAPP can also custom design Highmast poles to your specific needs. 10 Sports Lighting Poles TAPP offers standard Sports Lighting Poles in lengths from 50 to 120. Also offered are Light Support Brackets in assorted arrays. If our standard Sport Lighting Pole doesn t fit your needs, TAPP s professional staff can design to your special applications. Sport Lighting Poles are offered in hot-dipped galvanized, powder coated, or painted finishes. Traffic Signal Supports Round Tapered or Polygonal Tapered Traffic Signal Poles are just one of the many items manufactured by TAPP. TAPP has a wide assortment of configurations as standard items for your use (arms from 20 to 50 ). 11 Communication Poles TAPP offers a complete line of steel communication poles designed and fabricated with appearance, ease of assembly, and economics in mind. TAPP s poles are fabricated from high strength steel and are available in a variety of sizes and configurations for mounting accessories and equipment. Communication Poles are available in weathering steel, hot-dipped galvanizing or painted protective coatings. Tapered Shafts TAPP can supply all of your steel pole needs including plain tapered shafts. Round Tapered Shafts and Square Tapered Shafts, manufactured from structural quality weldable grade coil steel, are available in a wide variety of sizes with a 0.14 inch taper per foot of length. All shafts are thoroughly inspected, assuring a quality finished product.
