3 Sirona ental Systems GmbH 1 efore you begin Intended use Target group Warnings Instructions for use 1 efore you begin efore you begin TheT1 LINE/T1 LSSI is used to treat dental diseases and dental trauma. The treatment involves the rotary or oscillatory processing of hard and soft tooth substance, bones, and dental prostheses (crowns, inlays, bridges, etc.). The green, blue, and violet contra-angle handpieces are used for prophylaxis. The handpiece and the green and blue contra-angle handpieces are rotary prosthetics. The yellow contra-angle handpiece is used for oscillatory prosthetics. The brown contra-angle handpiece is used for oscillatory condensation of material. The green, blue, and black contra-angle handpieces are used for endodontics. The black contra-angle handpiece is for endometry. T1 LINE/T1 LSSIcomplies with the latest regulations reflecting state-of-the-art technology. T1 LINE/T1 LSSImeets standardiso Read the operating instructions prior to using T1 LINE/T1 LSSI. 2. 5 Sirona ental Systems GmbH 2 Safety instructions Obligations of the user 2 Safety instructions Safety instructions Only use operating resources in error free condition which do not deviate from the specified data [ 7]. Protect yourself, patients and others against any foreseeable dangers. In order to do so, follow the safety instructions. Use the equipment as intended. You should always keep these operating instructions within reach for further reference. Prevention of infection and cross-contamination Prevent infection and cross-contamination between patients, users, and third parties as follows: Sterilize equipment after each patient. Take the appropriate hygiene measures e.g. wear protective gloves. Emitted cooling air The cooling air emitted by the coupling of the motor must have a flow rate of Nl/min. To keep the cooling air coming out of the instrument away from the cavity, silicone disks are available [ 13]. Instrument head overheating Malfunction or damage Repair Spare parts and accessories If the instrument is defective, the area around the instrument head may heat up, thus creating a risk of burning the patient's oral mucosa. Immediately discontinue use in the case of malfunction or damage. amaged instruments may cause injury. Notify the dental depot or the manufacturer. o not repair the instrument yourself. Use only Sirona original or approved parts. Safe operation is not guaranteed for parts that have not been approved by Sirona. 6 3 Technical description Sirona ental Systems GmbH 3 Technical description Technical description 3.1 Task The T1 LINE/T1 LSSI instrument transmits the driving power and speed of the electric motor or air motor to the preparation tool. 3.2 Functionality The transmission ratio of the instrument distorts the operating speed of the preparation tool. The rotary drive movement is converted into a vibration movement with the T1 LINE ONENS. The rotary drive movement is converted into a vertical reciprocating movement of 0.4 or 1.1 mm, respectively, with the EV contra-angle handpiece. 3.3 Structure of T1 LINE ontra-angle handpiece Instrument head (in this case: standard) Pushbutton ooling spray aperture Opening of chuck system E F G E F Light aperture olor coding G Light nib Handpiece Opening for the clamping system ooling spray aperture Light output Handpiece center part E E Light nib 3.4 Structure of T1 LSSI ontra-angle handpiece Instrument head (in this case: standard) Pushbutton ooling spray aperture Opening of chuck system E F E F Light aperture olor coding Handpiece Opening for the clamping system ooling spray aperture Light output Handpiece center part
