1 CONFERENCE ON BUILDING A CAPITAL MARKETS UNION: CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR BUSINESS SPEAKER PROFILES Mr. Rimantas Šadžius, Minister of Finance of the Republic of Lithuania Mr. Rimantas Šadžius has held the office of the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Lithuania since Previously, he has served in the roles of the Vice- Minister of Finance, Vice-Minister of Health and Vice- Minister of Social Security and Labour. Mr. Šadžius has obtained a degree in chemistry in 1983 from the Faculty of Chemistry of Lomonosov Moscow State University (cum laude). In 2002 he graduated from the Faculty of Law of Vilnius University and acquired a Master s Degree in Law. As the Minister of Finance, Mr. Šadžius played an active role during the Lithuanian Presidency of the European Council and oversaw the adoption of the Euro in the Republic of Lithuania. Mr. Mark Boleat, Chairman of the Policy Committee, City of London Corporation Mark Boleat is Chairman of the Policy and Resources Committee of the City of London Corporation, a position he has held since May He has been a member of the City s Court of Common Council since 2002, and has

2 served on a number of committees including Police, Planning and Transportation, Investment, Finance, Markets and Culture, Heritage and Libraries. As Chairman of the Policy and Resources Committee, Mr. Boleat is Deputy Chairman of TheCityUK and the International Regulatory Strategy Group, a Vice Chairman of London Councils, and a member of the boards of Central London Forward, a grouping of eight inner London local authorities, and London and, the promotional body for London. Mr. Boleat has previously been Director General of the Council of Mortgage Lenders, the Building Societies Association and the Association of British Insurers and he has served on the boards of public companies, government agencies and third sector bodies. He has also run his own consultancy business, concentrating on trade associations and regulation, and is the author of several books on housing finance and public policy. Sir Roger Gifford, SEB UK Country Head Sir Roger Gifford is UK Country Head of SEB. He began his career in the financial sector at S.G. Warburg & Co, joining SEB in Prior to his appointment as Head of SEB London, Roger headed the bank's operations in Japan. for the Republic of Lithuania in He is Vice Chairman of the Association of Foreign Banks, previously Chairman, President of the Bank Workers Charity and the UK Champion of the Capital Markets Task Force on Nigeria. Sir Roger Gifford was appointed an Honorary Consul Roger's interests in music and education are reflected in his voluntary work as a Trustee of several charitable foundations and schools as well as a patron for the bank education charity MyBnk. He is a strong supporter of the City's contribution to the economic, cultural and social fabric of the UK. He was Lord Mayor of the City of London in 2013 and was knighted in the 2014 New Year Honours for services to international business, culture and the City.

3 Ms. Joanna Cound, Managing Director, BlackRock Ms. Joanna Cound, Managing Director, heads up BlackRock's Public Policy team in Europe. She is a member of BlackRock's Global Government Relations and Public Policy Steering Committee, BlackRock's European Operating Committee and BlackRock's Leadership Council in Europe. She is also a Board member of the European Fund and Asset Management Association (EFAMA), European Capital Markets Institute (ECMI) and the Institutional Money Market Fund Association (IMMFA). Prior to moving to this role, Ms. Cound was the International COO for BlackRock's Cash Management Group. Ms. Cound's service with the firm dates back to 1996, including her years with Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (MLIM), which merged with BlackRock in Prior to joining MLIM in 1996, Ms. Cound worked for Fidelity as the Head of the European product development and as a Marketing Manager for Citibank retail bank in Germany. Ms. Cound earned a BA degree in European studies from Loughborough University and an advanced certificate in European studies from the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium. She also has an MBA from the London Business School.

4 Mr. Simonas Gustainis, Chairman of the Board, Lithuanian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association Mr. Simonas Gustainis is the Chairman of the Board of Lithuanian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association. Since 2005 he is a partner with BaltCap, the largest Baltic PE&VC firm. BaltCap operates in the region since 1995 and has made over 60 investments and 30 exits to date. Previously, Mr. Gustainis devoted 8 years working in a pan-baltic investment bank Suprema focusing on corporate finance advisory and led several proprietary investments by the bank. He is an EMBA graduate from INSEAD. Mr. Nick Collier, Global Head of Government Relations, Thomson Reuters Nick Collier joined Thomson Reuters on 1 March He moved from Morgan Stanley, where he had been Head of EMEA Government Relations since June Mr. Nick Collier previously held the roles as the Head of Regulatory Policy at the International Capital Market Association, as the Director of International Risk, Compliance and Government Affairs at Instinet, and as the European head of the International Swaps and Derivatives Association. He started his career in the Bank of England, including a spell as the UK financial attaché to the EU. He holds a MSC in Economics and Finance from the London School of Economics and a BA from Oxford.

5 Mr. Marcus Schüler, Managing Director of Regulatory Affairs, Markit Group Mr. Marcus Schüler is the Managing Director and Head of Regulatory Affairs at Markit. He is responsible for Markit s relationships with regulatory authorities and relevant stakeholders, including securities regulators, central banks and trade associations. Mr. Schüler joined Markit in 2008 from Deutsche Bank, where he was the Managing Director and Head of integrated credit marketing in Europe for four years. Prior to Deutsche Bank, he was responsible for credit derivative flow marketing at J.P.Morgan. Mr. Schüler has a degree in Business from the University of Cologne. He also holds a CEMS Master s Degree in International Management. Mr. Niall Bohan, Head of Unit (Capital Markets Union), DG FISMA, European Commission Mr. Niall Bohan (b. 1967) studied economics at Trinity College Dublin ( ) and the College of Europe in Brugge, Belgium ( ). He worked at the Centre of European Policy Studies, Brussels before joining the European Commission in 1994, where he has worked in a variety of technical and management positions, principally focussed on financial market regulation. This includes responsibility for drafting the COM proposal for MiFiD ( ), serving as the Deputy Head of Unit for financial policy coordination ( ) and as the Head of Unit for the Asset Management unit between 2004 and Between 2011 and 2013, he was seconded to the Task Force for Greece (DG ECFIN), where he coordinated the provision of technical assistance to the Greek government to support reform of customs, public procurement, competition and investment licensing. From January 2014 to March 2015, Niall Bohan was the Head of

6 the Banking Unit with responsibility for implementation of for the Capital Requirements Regulation and Directive. On April 1st, 2015, he assumed responsibility for management of the unit responsible for the Capital Markets Union in DG Financial Stability and Capital Markets Union. Ms. Silvi Wompa Sinclair, Head of Western Europe, Financial Institutions, Group Willis Ltd Ms. Silvi Wompa Sinclair heads Willis Financial Institutions Group in Europe, a specialist business area focused on the Financial Institutions industry. With a Masters degree in Business from the Stockholm School of Economics, Ms. Wompa started her career in strategy consultancy with McKinsey & Company, after which she moved on to various management positions in the insurance sector at companies like Skandia Life & Pension and If Property & Casualty. Three years ago, Silvi first joined Willis as the European Head of Transaction Services. With her roots in Estonia, Ms. Wompa considers herself a true EU-citizen speaking 8 languages.

7 Ms. Arminta Saladžienė, CEO, NASDAQ Baltic Ms. Arminta Saladžienė is Vice President of the Nasdaq, Inc., Head of Nasdaq Baltic Market. She is responsible for the operations of the three stock exchanges and three central securities depositories in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Ms. Saladžienė also serves as President of Nasdaq Vilnius, Chairman of the Supervisory Boards of Nasdaq Tallinn, Nasdaq Riga, Latvian and Lithuanian Central Depositories, as well as the CEO of Nasdaq Vilnius Services. She is one of the initiators, the first Chairman ( ) and currently a member of the Board of the Baltic Institute of Corporate Governance. For her work in the field of corporate governance, she received the Baltic Sea Award 2009 and was named the Rising Star of Corporate Governance 2011 by The Millstein Center for Corporate Governance and Performance at the Yale School of Management. In 2010, she was inducted to the Business Hall of Fame by Junior Achievement Lithuania. A member of the State Progress Council established and chaired by the Prime Minister of Lithuania to develop and advance the country s long-term strategy Lithuania 2030, a member of the Board of the Lithuanian Financial Markets Institute, a member of the Advisory Board of the Baltic Development Forum, as well as of the Private Sector Advisory Group of the Global Corporate Governance Forum/ IFC. Mr. Tomas Andrejauskas, Business Angel, Managing Partner, Satimed UAB Mr. Tomas Andrejauskas is the Founder, Managing Partner and Head of the Business Development of Satimed. Previously, he held the position of the Founder and CEO in ProBioSanus. His previous career history

8 includes various positions in financial institutions, having held the positions as the Head of Large Corporates and Institutions in Lithuania in Swedbank AB, Head of Corporate Banking Division in Hansabankas AB. Having worked in the financial sector for over 20 years, Mr. Andrejauskas has experience in the areas of development of businesses and start-ups, technology commercialization, banking, investment and business financing. Outside his role as a business developer, Mr. Andrejauskas is a Board member of the National Financial Brokers Association and Hansa Investment Management as well as a lecturer in Vilnius University Faculty of Economics and the ISM University of Management and Economics. He gained a Bachelor s Degree in Finance and Banking in Vilnius University, a Master s Degree in Business Administration in Vytautas Magnus University and an Executive MBA in the Baltic Management institute. Mr. Tomas Tumėnas, CFO, Linas Agro Mr. Tomas Tumėnas (born 1972) obtained a Master s Degree in Economics from Vilnius University and a Certificate in International Business Economics studies from Alborg University in In 2011 he also received a Master s Degree in Business Administration from Manchester Business School, University of Manchester. Having joined the Linas Agro Group in 2001, Mr. Tumėnas has held the role of the Chief Financial Officer since 2006 and has served as a Board member since Currently, he is responsible for financial management and the formation and execution of financial strategy.

9 Mr. Lars Ohnemus, Director of Corporate Governance Institute, Copenhagen Business School/ CEO, Baltic Property Trust Mr. Lars Ohnemus (Denmark) is the Nordic Director at Copenhagen Business School, Center for Corporate Governance. The Founder and Chairman at Northern Horizon Capital. The international executive with wide senior management experience in European investment markets, the real estate sector and fast moving consumer goods. Mr. Ohnemus has a broad academic background from his work at Copenhagen Business School (CBS) and the Baltic Management Institute (BMI), involving teaching, research work and consulting, focusing primarily on global business strategies, internationalization and branding. Seasoned board experience with listed and non-listed companies in Northern and Central Europe. A solid business and political network in the Northern and Central Europe. Mr. Aivaras Čičelis, Vice President and Head of Corporate Banking Division, SEB Mr. Aivaras Čičelis is the Vice-President and Head of the Corporate Banking Division of SEB, the largest commercial bank in Lithuania. He has been a member of SEB Lithuania s Management Board since Mr. Čičelis has a Master s degree in Finance and Banking, and 18 years experience in the banking field. He is currently one of the consulting experts on the national television show Lithuania Will Make It aimed at promoting entrepreneurship in rural areas of the country and sponsored by SEB. Mr. Čičelis is actively involved in social initiatives today he is the Chairman of the independent non-governmental organisation Mentor Lithuania acting to prevent youngsters from drug use.
