Formal online courses provide the student with an integrated learning approach consisting of visual information, recorded audio-visual demonstrations of the software application and processes, a PDF manual for download with reading assignments, comprehension questions or practice exercises, and a final online Assessment test. 6 Course Descriptions Classroom Instruction IDEAS GL Core Modules Introductory Course The GL Core Modules Introductory Course is designed for users who are new to the IDEAS General Ledger core modules and for those who would like to develop their Financial Report Writer skills. The four-day course includes lectures and workshops to cover: General Ledger Design and Configuration Creating and Maintaining the Chart-of-Accounts, Validation and Summarization Relationships Journal Entry Transaction Processing Spreadsheet Link - Importing and Exporting Data from Excel Data Inquiry and Pivot table Analysis Tools Maintaining Budget Information Two Days are devoted to developing presentation quality financial reports using the new Visual Financial Report Writer including: Introduction to Report Writing Advanced Topics in Report Writer Hands-on Report Writing Workshop Audience: Any new IDEAS user, Users looking to develop their FRW Skills Course Length: 4 days Page 5 of 10

7 IDEAS Advanced Report Writer Course The ARW Course is designed for existing IDEAS users who are familiar with the Report Writer and Chartmaster concepts. The two-day course utilizes lectures and workshops to reinforce the users knowledge of the Report Writer. The lectures include advanced topics covering all aspects of the Report Writer and include: Understanding System Design Chart-of-Accounts Process Spreadsheet Link Processing Enterprise Report Writer Introduction Report Publishing Options Advanced topics: Retrievals, Column Formats, Calculations Audience: Existing IDEAS Report Writer Users Course Length: 2 days IDEAS IT Accounts Payable Course The AP course is designed for any IDEAS users who are responsible for the day-to-day procedures in the finance department. 8 Online Training Courses IDEAS UI Navigation I: Menus and Programs This course is self-paced online training for new IDEAS users. IDEAS UI Navigation I: Menus and Programs is the first of a 3-module sequence. Take this course to learn how to log in and out, access menus and programs of IDEAS modules, get help and support, and use menus, tool bars, buttons and other navigation features. A training documentation download and final assessment test are included. There are no prerequisites for this course. Course length: 2 hours IDEAS UI Navigation II: Reporting This course is self-paced online training for new IDEAS users. IDEAS UI Navigation II: Reporting is the second of a 3-module sequence. Take this course to learn about features of IDEAS standard reports (inquiry reports, application built reports and pre-defined Crystal reports) as well as an overview of Adhoc Crystal reports created with the Report Wizard. This course also reviews some standard and Adhoc reporting examples. A training documentation download and final assessment test are included. Prerequisites: IDEAS UI Navigation I: Menus and Programs. Course length: 2 hours IDEAS UI Navigation III: Architecture This course is self-paced online training for new IDEAS users. IDEAS UI Navigation III: Architecture is the third of a 3-module sequence. Take this course to gain an overview of international oil and gas joint interest concepts, including joint ventures, business process, licensing and blocks, terminology, and IDEAS software process flow. There are no prerequisites for this course. Course length: 1 hour IDEAS Advanced JIB Topics This training module is self-paced online training for new IDEAS users. Take this course to learn about advanced IDEAS Joint Interest Billing (JIB) topics including dual currency and JIB modes; ownership concepts and how they are handled in IDEAS; JIB accounting including net and offset gross methods, intercompany accounting and insiders; cash calls and revenue. Prerequisites: IDEAS Joint Interest Concepts. Course length: 1 hour IDEAS Fixed Assets Module This training module is self-paced online training for new IDEAS users. Take this course to gain an overview of asset management concepts, including fixed assets maintenance, depreciation features, asset tracking features, and disposal control features. You will also learn about the integrated functionality of the IDEAS Fixed Assets module with other IDEAS modules. A training documentation download and final assessment test are included. Prerequisites: IDEAS UI Navigation I and II modules. Course length: 2 hours Foreign Currency Advanced Topics This training module is self-paced online training. IDEAS Foreign Currency covers conversion currency concepts and mechanics, the foreign exchange capabilities of the IDEAS product, and exchange gains and losses, including realized and unrealized gain loss. Prerequisites: IDEAS UI Navigation Module I: Menus and Programs. Course Length: 2 hours Purchase Taxes Overview: VAT and Tax Withholding This training module is self-paced online training, designed for new users of IDEAS software. It covers an overview of value added tax (VAT) and tax withholding, including definitions and terminology; VAT recovery, rates and IDEAS processing; and tax withholding requirements and accounting. 10 IDEAS Workflow Solution This training module is self-paced online training for new IDEAS users. Take this course to gain an overview of iapprove, the workflow solution for IDEAS and part of the iideas module. You will also learn about electronic workflow and document management. Three areas are reviewed: the Administrator tool, the Approver view, and how iapprove works with Account Payables. This module also includes an overview of the architecture behind iapprove. Course length: 2 hours South America Purchase Taxes Overview This training module is self-paced online training for new IDEAS users. Take this course to gain an understanding of how IDEAS supports in-country purchase tax requirements for Argentina. This module also provides an overview of how IDEAS supports local tax requirements for Brazil, Columbia and Peru. A training documentation download and final assessment test are included.
