2 Growth Hacking Digital Marketing by THE TALENT INSTITUTE Short description of the program The Internet is evolving at a fast pace and technology is changing our lives. Traditional marketers are skilled at understanding traditional products, but the internet has created a radical redefinition of the word product. For thousands of years a product has been a physical good, but now they are invisible bits and bytes in the form of software products. This requires a new type of marketeers. Today s digital marketers are tasked with designing campaigns that speak to multiple audience segments, inspiring them into action, and measuring the results to make data fueled business decisions. This new era of marketeers is called Growth Hacking. Growth hackers utilize analytical thinking, product engineering and creativity to significantly increase their company s core metrics. Our growth hacking marketing course will train you to be a full stack, self sufficient marketer, whose aim is to help a company increase their customer base by a factor of 10. Sessions are aimed to familiarize you with industry tools like Google Analytics, Adwords, and Mailchimp. You will get hands on experience with search engine optimization, conversion optimization, A/B testing and building landing pages. At the end of our course you will be a true hacker ready to grow any business. Structure of the 12 week program In the first week of the program you will learn the key principles of the lean startup methodology, business model canvas and growth hacking. The next 11 weeks you will start working directly within one of the companies of the Startupbootcamp family. You will work on different marketing projects with them and help them improve their product grow. Next to practical experience you will follow several skill sessions around digital marketing. These skill sessions are designed to increase your knowledge about the latest trends within marketing and provide you practical tips and know how. What will my typical week look like? From Monday till Friday you will be working with one of the companies from the Startupbootcamp family. During the week you will follow classes and workshops that will teach you the latest skills within digital marketing. Every Friday you will present your key learnings of the week and share your accomplishments. Teachers

Startups generally lack resources, and the established relationships, that would allow them to be effective with the tactics of a traditional marketer, so they are somewhat forced to growth hack. However, there is nothing about growth hacking that cannot be applied to larger corporations. If growth hacking can work without resources, imagine what it can accomplish with resources. 4 Experience Design by HYPER ISLAND Short description of the program The role of a designer is shifting. A product today is rarely just physical and consumers expectations are higher than ever. The challenge for designers is to design and deliver meaningful experiences, both online and offline. The Experience Design course will develop your technical, creative and strategic skills as an experience designer to lead the change within this evolving industry. The course is designed in response to the actual demand from the industry. There is currently a gap between what traditional schools teach and what a designer needs to know to build products, services and systems in the real world. You will explore experience design and related fields such as service design and interaction design, understanding human behaviour, rigorous research, digital technologies and prototyping, project management, business acumen and how to build and lead an effective team. Structure of the 12 week program The course is divided into a number of practical projects lasting between 2 4 weeks. Each project is led by industry professionals and centered around live client briefs. You will practice learning by doing, being challenged to work in teams and create solutions for real world client problems, practicing a range of tools, techniques and processes. You will also practice reflection and feedback, learning to create and run effective teams, navigate group dynamics and develop your skills in project management and leadership. What will my typical week look like? A typical week will involve a range of talks, workshops and coaching sessions with industry professionals, working in teams on a client brief, conducting research, developing innovative ideas, practicing feedback and reflection to support your team to work effectively, and presenting to peers and clients. You will have a course schedule but outside of the taught sessions you will plan your own time as a team and work in the way you choose to. Teachers We don t have teachers. Instead you will have a Hyper Island Program Manager who will design, curate and facilitate the course as well as providing coaching and support. All of the content is delivered by our industry partners who are at the forefront of their field. Previously we have worked with

5 professionals from a wide range of agencies and organisations such as IDEO, ustwo, AKQA, Digitas LBi and IBM. What will my skillset be after the program? The course will give you the foundation skills to go on to design and develop innovative, elegant and useful experiences, products and services for people and businesses. You will be able to develop a design strategy in response to a brief, handle client relationships effectively, pitch ideas, and demonstrate skills in personal development and teamwork. As well as these skills, you will leave with a strong peer and industry network you can tap into for support, guidance and opportunities as your career progresses. How will this program make me stand out on the labor market? There is a significant skills shortage in the Experience Design field. With the role of a designer changing, and digital disrupting businesses and industries, you will have cutting edge knowledge that demonstrates how you can approach problems and design solutions both innovatively and effectively. We are looking for designers and non designers with creative skills and a passion for exploring how human centred design can make change happen. You don t have to have any previous experience in this area (although it might help if you do) and you may have come from an art, design, media or technology background, or researched based subjects such as humanities, sciences or languages.

Structure of the 12 week program The New York Code + Design Academy s Web Development Intensive program is designed to teach both front and back end web development in one all encompassing class. In just 12 weeks, this full time, immersive program transforms students with no coding experience into entry level full stack developers. Our hands on, project based instruction immerses students in code, and develops the skills they need to build dynamic and versatile web applications. This program also includes training in career focused soft skills, including interview preparation and resume building. What will my typical week look like? Web Development Intensive students will attend class full time, Monday through Friday, from 10:00 to 18:00. Class typically begins with a lecture, after which students are given exercises to practice what they ve learned in small groups or on their own. Your instructor will always be present to answer any questions, or to help review material. After a break for lunch, the afternoon generally includes another lecture, and more time to workshop. Students often arrive early or stay late in our coworking space after class to continue working on their projects. Students will spend 40+ hours a week devoted to code, but in a flexible, social environment. Teachers Zach Feldman is an NYCDA instructor and the Chief Academic Officer. Zach Feldman is a consummate technologist and has been a tinkerer from childhood. He is a Co Founder and currently Chief Academic Officer of the New York Code + Design Academy, devising curriculum, hiring teachers, and

7 instructing students. He develops websites and applications using WordPress (PHP), Ruby on Rails, and plain old HTML, CSS, and Javascript. When he s not writing code, you can find Zach playing his guitar, DJing a party, or on a hike. What will my skillset be after the program? Upon completion of the program, students will be ready to enter the workforce as Junior Full Stack Web Developers. 9 Web Application Development by Le Wagon with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, Ruby & Ruby on Rails Short description of the program Driven by technological innovations, startups & tech companies are inventing new products and services every day. At Le Wagon, we want to help young talents to become actors of this (r)evolution: our bespoke and hands on programs bring them the technical skills they need to launch their own tech project or to work for growing tech startups (as a developer, product manager, project manager, growth hacker, ). Our program is a 12 week Full Stack Coding Bootcamp consisting of an intensive full time training in web application development all classes will be taught in English by a team composed of Experienced Developers/Lead Coaches and Teaching Assistants. Although our training is mostly technical, we confront our students with the startup/business world by inviting, every week, a tech entrepreneur to come and share his/her experience with our coding bootcampers, during an "Apero Talk", followed by questions & answers. Structure of the 12 week program Week by week Week 1 2: Algorithmic thinking with the Ruby programming language Week 3: Object Oriented programming and MVC design pattern Week 4: SQL database and ORM Week 5 6: Front End development (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jquery, Ajax, Bootstrap,...) Week 7 8: Ruby on Rails framework Week 9 10: Team projects Week 11 12: Web application prototyping for third parties (startups, tech companies,...) in order to facilitate/accelerate the transition to the job market All through the 12 weeks, students will be taught programming and web development best practices: code versioning with git and collaboration with other developers on GitHub, continuous deployment and scaling on Heroku, integration of open source libraries (fileupload, geolocation, Oauth authentication, payment, etc), pictures management with Amazon S3, automatic mailing with external SMTP like Mandrill, growth hacking techniques (scraping, APIs manipulation), and a lot more... What will my typical week look like? Here is a typical day at Le Wagon: 9:00 10:30: Theoretical introduction (with live code on real life examples) to the concepts that will be practiced throughout the day.

10 10:30 13:00: Pair programming challenges with automatic scoring & correction thanks to our custom automated platform and with the support of our team of coaches and teaching assistants. 13:00 14:00: Lunch break. 14:00 17:00: Challenges follow through and re explanation of the core concepts. 17:00 18:00: Bigger challenge submitted to the whole group for the students to solve it together through a live code session. 18:00 19:00: Dinner break. 19:00: Coaching on personal projects, masterclasses, advanced workshops, coding battles, dinners and other cool stuff. The first 8 weeks shall be fairly similar in terms of structure, whereas the weeks 9 10 will imply a lot of teamwork on the team projects, and weeks will consist of real world prototyping for third parties. The group live code session of each evening will be replaced by a demo of the different web apps in progress. Teachers Our team of coaches/teaching assistants is composed of international experienced developers, still partly working for startups and detached to the BSSA Amsterdam from other Le Wagon Bootcamps locations (Paris, Brussels, Los Angeles, Beirut,...) What will my skillset be after the program? Our program is designed for complete beginners or "half beginners" who really want to dive into programming and, above all, change their mindset. Learn to think like a developer, consider issues with new insight, become more autonomous and creative thanks to these newly acquired abilities. Digital jobs are less and less segmented, job descriptions are getting fuzzier and employers are looking for people with a broader skill set. Therefore, Le Wagon offers to non tech people with very different backgrounds to broaden their skill set in the best way possible: by learning to code! Le Wagon is a very demanding program in terms of time and focus. It doesn t take a mathematics genius to learn to code; it takes a lot of curiosity and motivation. The perfect student should be hungry to learn and curious about how things work, while also being very aware about the fact that Le Wagon is a full time commitment. Even if there are no hard skills required to enter our program, the motivation and a capacity to apply logical rules will be assessed before the start of the bootcamp.

12 ios app development By The App Academy Short description of the program: The Curriculum of The App Academy s 12 week program has been developed by our team of software developers and designers and is based upon years of work experience in the mobile industry. Besides learning the required coding skills for Apple's ios platform, Objective C and Swift, we also cover important areas around app development, such as concept & prototype, design integration, working with Parse as a backend, Scrum project management methodology, debugging, deployment and distribution in the App Store. Lessons are daily from Monday to Friday, from 9 18 hours, 12 weeks full time. Beyond daily lectures and guided workshops, there will also be inspiring presentations from successful app makers and partners. At the end of the bootcamp you will have an app on your portfolio to showcase. Structure of the 12 week program: Week 1 introduction This week is to establish the students' level and to explain the basics of programming. This will happen in a simpler programming language such as Scratch or Ruby. Week 2 ios set up Introduction to ios programming (ios 9, Xcode 7 and Swift). Week 3 working in teams More ios programming. Week 4 working with designers Students will develop a real app in collaboration with designers and will implement the UI designs from a designer. Week 5 project management Students will deliver the first app with all the trimmings. Team collaboration, testing, and deployment issues will be covered. Week 6 team app development More ios programming. Week 7 team app development Testing, delivering and presenting the team app. Week 8 until week 12 develop a client app

13 Students will receive a briefing and develop an app for an actual client. They will deliver on time, demo the app to the client, and publish it in the App Store. What will my typical week look like? The student starts the day with lectures by our teacher in the morning and after lunch you ll be doing a lot of practising in app development. During the days there will also be presentations by students about more general topics like smartphone specific features or components like accelerometer, GPS, Bluetooth, Wifi, etc. Teachers What will my skillset be after the program?
