2 SECTION 1 of 2 CORNERDROP OVERVIEW What is CornerDrop? CornerDrop provides a Click and Collect service for everyone, everywhere. Any business location can become a CornerDrop with easy on-line registration, and any online retailer can offer customers the ability to collect parcels from a local drop point early until late, 7 days a week. No more letterbox cards, lost Saturdays or lunchtime queues. We are delivering flexibility and convenience with CornerDrop locations all over the UK. Customers can also suggest CornerDrops near them. By using CornerDrop on your website, we can help guarantee the delivery to your customers, reduce checkout resistance and also delivery complaints our CornerDrops become the place to collect all deliveries with no inconvenience We are new, different and taking a fresh approach to solving the last mile dilemma for customers. 3 How does CornerDrop work? CornerDrop sits separately to any shipping tools and integrates seamlessly into your store checkout process (fig 1.2). Our extension can be offered alongside any other click and collect solution that you may have, to increase the number of locations that you can offer your customers. It is free to download from Magento.com and simple to install. The Magento CornerDrop plugin integrates the CornerDrop click and collect solution into your website without changing any fulfilment processes. After installation, it simply offers an alternative CornerDrop delivery addresses to your check out process and a secure collection process so that your customers can select a CornerDrop location to send their parcels to. Fig 1.2 Click and collect with CornerDrop option during online checkout What do I need to do when an order is placed on my website and CornerDrop is used? When an order is placed by a customer, a 9 digit CornerDrop code is generated and sent to the customer. This is a unique customer code for each order using CornerDrop. The customer will also be sent a 4 digit pin code, which they need to collect the parcels. 2 P a g e

The full 13 digits are required for collection but only the first 9 are added onto the parcel. The unique digit CornerDrop code is added automatically as the delivery name and the CornerDrop location as the delivery address on the customer package. This can be found in the shipping address with each order. The customer name is associated with the code, so it is not needed on the parcel. If the code is pending, please wait until visible before sending. 5 How much does CornerDrop cost? The plugin is free to download from Magento.com. You are only charged once a customer has used CornerDrop (minimum purchase of 10 credits) a true PAYG service. Your account credits will automatically renew to ensure that your customers can always select a CornerDrop location. You can override this setting when you log into your account at However, we recommend that you offer CornerDrop for free to your customers. If you would prefer to pass the charge on, then you can add this in the additional fee section (see below). How do I add CornerDrop to my website? 1. Firstly, please register for a CornerDrop account at Your CornerDrop account allows you to see all the CornerDrop codes associated with your orders and manage your payment details. You will also generate an API key which needs to be added into the plugin. [NB documentation will be updated when live] 2. Secondly, please download and install the CornerDrop Magento Connect Plugin from Installation instructions & FAQ s are detailed in the following section, Section 2. 4 P a g e

6 Installation Instructions SECTION 2 CORNERDROP MAGENTO PLUGIN INSTALLATION There are two methods of Magento module installation, one automatic and the other manual. Pre-installation Tasks Before proceeding with installation, as with any module installation, look over the code and ensure you are happy with the quality, then take a full backup. Automatic Installation Automatic installation is performed using the Magento Connect Manager (MCM) accessed via System and then Magento Connect in the administration area menu. Once you have logged into the MCM, with your Magento administration credentials, you will see the Direct package file upload section on the Extensions tab. This is the section we are going to use to upload the extension to your installation. Ensure you have the provided.tgz file to hand and find the location of the file using the file upload control. Once you have found the file in the dialog, click Ok and then click Upload on the webpage. The module will now install and you will be presented with an installation successful message. Manual Installation The package provided upon purchasing is a.tgz containing a package.xml, ideally suited to automated installation. If your setup does not allow this, then you can simply extract the contents of the.tgz over your Magento installation. The files will fall into the correct places. Post-installation Tasks The module has installed a new configuration section, which will require you to restart your session. To do this simply log out and back into the administration area. You ll then need to configure the module, which is covered in the next section. Configuration Instructions The configuration area for the CornerDrop extension is accessible in System» Configuration» Sales» CornerDrop. Initial Configuration Complete the following steps to setup the CornerDrop extension: 1. Make sure that Magento cron jobs are setup for your store. You can find instructions on setting up Magento cron jobs here 2. In the "General Settings" section of the configuration area: 1. Set the "Enabled" setting to "Yes" 5 P a g e

7 2. Fill in the "API Key" setting with your CornerDrop API key, which can be obtained by logging into your CornerDrop account at 3. Click "Save Config" at the top of the configuration area 3. Check the "Account Status" section in the configuration area. If the account has been configured correctly, you should see your CornerDrop credit balance there CornerDrop Configuration CornerDrop sends an with instructions on collecting the package when a customer places an order with CornerDrop. You can customise the by following these steps: 1. Go to System» Transactional s 2. Click the "Add New Template" button 3. Select "CornerDrop Collect Code" from the default template to load and click "Load Template" 4. Make your customisations to the template, set a new name for it and click "Save Template" 5. Go to System» Configuration» Sales» CornerDrop 6. Select your new template for the "CornerDrop Customer Collection Template" setting in the "General Settings" section 7. Click "Save Config" at the top of the configuration area 6 P a g e

8 CornerDrop Fee Configuration You can add an additional fee to be charged for orders where CornerDrop collect is used. To configure the fee, go to the CornerDrop configuration area and fill out the settings in the "CornerDrop Fee Settings" section: 1. Additional Fee - this is the fee that will be charged. The fee is charged in the base currency of the store. 2. CornerDrop Fee Include Tax? - if set to "No", additional tax will be calculated based on the fee amount. 3. Tax Class - this is the tax class that will be used to calculate the tax amount charged on top of the CornerDrop fee, if required by the previous setting. The CornerDrop fee will appear as a separate line item in the order breakdown in the customer area order view and in the Magento backend. Developer FAQs Why do I get a 404 not found in the configuration area after installing the extension? This is a user permissions issue, please log out of the admin interface and then log back in again. I am getting an error along the lines of "Fatal Error: class CornerDrop_Collect_Helper_Data could not be found." How do I fix it? Be sure to disable compilation and flush the caches. I have enabled the module, but I can not see CornerDrop on the checkout. Why? Make sure that you have entered you API key in the configuration area and that your account has sufficient credits. You can check your credit balance at the top of the configuration area once you've entered your API key and have hit "Save". If your account is out of credits, CornerDrop will not appear on the checkout even if it is enabled. 7 P a g e

9 Why are the orders from customers who have selected CornerDrop on checkout not being submitted to CornerDrop? Why are customers not receiving CornerDrop code s? CornerDrop extension uses cron tasks to update CornerDrop on any new orders. Make sure that Magento cron jobs have been setup correctly for your store. You can find instructions on configuring Magento cron jobs here. If you have setup Magento cron jobs, but the orders are still not appearing in CornerDrop, enable development logs and check the cornerdrop.log file in your log folder for more details about what is happening. 8 P a g e
