1 Makeup Supplies 1. Ben Nye Stage Makeup Kit. Can be purchased at Taylor Maid in Provo or Pleasant Grove for about $19.50 without the discount. It lasts several shows and can be used on multiple people EXCEPT eye liner. DO NOT SHARE EYELINER OR MASCARA!!! Unless you want pink eye 2. Makeup/Cosmetic Sponges can be found at a local grocery store.

2 How to Apply Basic Makeup 1. Have a clean face and moisturize. 2. Match foundation in kit to your natural skin tone (can do this at Taylor Maid. Just ask for help) and apply all over face using a cosmetic/makeup sponge. (For the sake of time, I am applying to only half of my face) 3. Take shadow color (brown). Apply in hollow crease under cheekbones, (Make a fish face to see where to apply) Sides of nose, and right under jaw. Make a line using makeup sponge, and pull away (cheek-down, nose-start at top and pull down, jaw-down)

3 4. Take highlight color and apply a little above cheekbone, on bridge of nose, and right on jaw. Try to blend it so it s not a line. 5. For girls, apply cream blush in between highlight and shadow on apple of cheek. Pull it in a natural diagonal direction of bone, starting towards the outer edge of eye and pull towards hairline. 6. After applying cream, take powder puff and put translucent powder on the puff. Fold puff together like a taco and rub together. Then using the puff folded like a taco the opposite of what you just did, press all over the face. Reapply powder to puff frequently/as needed. Apply blush if using powder blush. You can use regular blush if you choose to.

4 Obviously you won t have this makeup (unless you re Granny!) but the application of the powder is the same 7. Apply brown eyeliner pencil to eyebrows if really light (aka blonde or light brown). Use little strokes to fill in eyebrows 8. Both Men and Women: Apply brown eyeliner under and around the eye. Women Only: If you own any light brown eye shadow, apply minimally. (Eye Shadow DOES NOT go on children) 9. Girls: Don t forget mascara! Apply to both upper and lower lashes. (Can do children if you d like) And don t forget lipstick! Please NO REDS. Just natural colors. The one in the kit is great!

6 How to Apply Old Age 1. Follow steps 1-4 of the basic makeup (foundation, shadow, highlight) Shadow for this also includes temple. No highlight necessary. 2. Shadow Line Work: - Forehead Wrinkles. Raise eyes to see lines on forehead. Relax and draw a few lines where those lines would be, NOT all the way across the forehead. Feather, or lightly pull makeup up and away from line just drawn. - In between Eyebrows. Make an angry face. Relax, draw little curved lines there. Feather in towards opposite side of face

7 Yes, this picture may look messy, but you want thick lines so it can be seen from stage. - Crows Feet. Squint eyes to create lines on outer edges of eye. Relax, draw lines starting from corner of eye and pulling out. - Under Eyes. Follow your under eye shadow/bags. Feather down - Nasal Folds. Smile big! Relax and follow curve from nose to corner of mouth. Feather on outside of curve - Cheek. Darken the shadow already there by drawing a line along the top and down the side of the cheek shadow.

8 - Chin. Find the natural dint in chin. Draw a line to deepen it and feather it up and out. - Lips. Make a kissy face. Relax and paint lines around lips. Can shadow the dent from nose to lip as well. 3. Highlight Line Work: - Forehead Wrinkles. Apply line under shadow and feather down. - In between Eyes. Apply line inside of curve and feather out

9 - Crows Feet. Apply line under shadow line - Under Eyes. Apply highlight on top of shadow/bag - Nasal Folds. Apply line on inside of curve and feather in - Chin. Under the shadow line apply highlight and feather down - Cheek. Lightly highlight on top of the shadow line just created - Lips. Paint on the left side of shadow line

10 4. Take stipple sponge and use maroon (or lip color from small kit) and roll along cheekbones and nose with a little on forehead. 5. If not apply powder as mentioned in basic (powder on puff, rub together, pat on face)

11 6. Continue applying eyeliner, eyebrow darkener, and mascara and lipstick (for ladies). Finished look. *You may notice there are lines on the neck. Feel free to push your chin down and follow the lines you see. Highlight down not up like I did.

12 Ghost Makeup (will do a version of this for Marley only) 1. For a lighter foundation color, mix a bit of the highlight color with your foundation (maybe white). Use the end of brush to scoop colors out and place on lid and mix. Apply to face. This is a good color difference. 2. Take grey color and apply all around eyes, making it pretty dark. Then right away apply powder so the cream doesn t crease. 3. Apply blue color over shadow in cheeks all the way down to jaw. 4. Apply blue under chin and partially down the neck. 5. Apply blue to side of nose. 6. Apply blue to lips. *If you need to, use chap stick before so it goes on easier.

13 7. Take the highlight color and on cheek bone and bridge of nose, create a thick line so it stands out from foundation. 8. We also might add a shadow on forehead line and may do purple under the eyes instead of grey. Yes, it looks pretty weird, but it looks cool from far away and with the stage lights it should look really cool. The goal is to make you look gaunt and ghost like. Finished look To remove: 1. Take baby wipe and cold cream and wipe off, being careful not to wipe off eyeliner or mascara. 2. Reapply basic makeup from the very top of this packet. Please let me know if you have any questions.
