2 National Technical Honor Society The following Lebanon County Career & Technology Center students were recognized for academic and vocational excellence: February 12, 2013, CTC Cafetorium, 6:00 p.m. On February 12, 2013, Lebanon County Career and Technology Center held an induction ceremony for the National Technical Honor Society. LCCTC inducted sixteen students into the technical honor society. Approximately 80 people including students, parents, family, and staff were in attendance. Krista Phillips and Katelyn Gulotta, 2013 inductees of the NTHS were guest speakers. Congratulations to the 2013 NTHS members! 3 Educator Year Educator Year Arthur Stott Russel A. Miller Earl Horst Edward McGowan Gerald H. Seiler Jane Graeff Karen Gulotta Special Populations Coordinator Upon graduation from Mansfield University in 1986, Karen began her special education teaching career in Kitzingen Germany working for the Department of Defense Dependent Schools. After she moved back to the United States she taught a range of grade levels as well as a range of special needs. She is happy to call the Lebanon CTC her home for the past three years. She enjoys working with the CTC students and helping them find their unique talents and preparing them for the transition into adulthood. Karen categorizes her coworkers as some of the most dedicated educators she knows. In her free time she can be found at the Lebanon Community Theatre where she serves as Board President. She can also be found on the stage as an actor or directing shows and musicals. Her own children are a constant shining light in her life. 7 Elizabeth Bicksler, EL Medical Assisant Elizabeth Bicksler is the daughter of Karen Bicksler, Richland. Elizabeth is a senior at ELCO High School and is enrolled in the Medical Assistant Program at the Lebanon County Career and Technology Center. Elizabeth is an honor roll student and has received honors of Student of the Quarter and Perfect Attendance at the CTC. She has participated in several activities at ELCO High School: Marching and Concert Band, National Arts Honors Society, and ELCO Pride Club. At the CTC, she is the President of the HOSA student organization. Outside of school she works part time at Stoneridge Retirement Living as a waitress. She is also an active member of her church s youth group and their activities. After graduation, Elizabeth plans to continue her education and pursue a degree in nursing and then further her training as a Nurse Practioner and eventually a Physician. Juan Hernandez, CL Culinary Arts Juan Hernandez is the son of Maria Ramos and Juan Hernandez, Lebanon. Juan is a senior at Cedar Crest High School and is enrolled at Lebanon County Career and Technology Center in the Culinary Arts Program. Juan is an honor roll student at the CTC and also been named Student of the Quarter in the Culinary Arts program and has received perfect attendance certificates. He is the Parliamentarian of the SkillsUSA student organization. Outside of school, he works part time at the Hotel Hershey. After graduation, Juan plans to participate in an Apprenticeship program and continue his education in Culinary Arts. His future career goal is to become an Executive Chef.
