10 Pre-Requisites Application Server IIS Version 7 ASP.NET Install & Register.NET Framework 4.0 Crystal Run-Time (EZCAP installer will handle this) Product Key Provide the Installation directory drive volume to obtain the key 1. Go to Command Prompt on APP Server 2. Choose the drive and type command: VOL 10

12 Installation Prior to beginning the Install: 1. Take a backup of the MZI folder on ALL Application Servers 2. Take a backup of the EZLI.dll file (C:\Windows\SysWOW64) 3. Take a backup of ALL the DB s (ECD, EZDATAREP, EZCARE, and ALL Company DB s) Optional time savers: 1. Have the installer saved to each APP Server prior to beginning 2. Have the serial keys provided by Support on the corresponding APP Server(s) 12

13 Installation 4. Remove ALL installed features(using Enterprise Installer) 5. Restart computer when uninstall completes 13

14 Installation Select install and yes to both FREDI and Crystal Runtime 14

17 Installation Key in the key provided by Support Be sure to use the key that corresponds to this APP Server. 17

19 Installation Installer will now create the virtual directories for the corresponding 19

22 Installation EDI Service Folders (verify the install location to be accurate) This can be changed after the install is completed 22

24 Installation EZDATAREP DB Credentials Clear Data option will clear the EDI in tables 24

26 Installation Scripts will begin to run, views, tables and stored procedures. View error log should you run into any error messages Provide these details to EZ-CAP Support Team 26

27 Installation EZ-CAP Company Utility Shortcut is created on EZ-CAP Application Server Desktop Make sure the SQL Server Agent is running Run EZ-CAP Company utility as Administrator Choose One of the Options: Update existing company database Configure New Company Database Attach a Company Database Detach a Company Database 27

32 Report Environment Setup On Report Environment Refresh report environment data with production environment Daily production data refresh Production Database Backup will have Production Server name on ECD Views When Production database backup is restored onto any other(report or Test) database Server VE_COMPANY table on ECD will not have the correct server name Views and Reports with reference to Server name will not work Sync Utility 32

Delete existing databases(ecd, Company and DATAREP) on Report server 4. Restore the production database backups onto the Report server 5. 46 DB Maintenance Backup Database. Company DB s EZDATAREP ECD Rebuild Indexes. Rebuild indexes on all EZ-CAP databases daily. Rebuild only those indexes that reached optimal level of fragmentation Reorganize & update statistics for those indexes that are below the optimal level of fragmentation. Delete Backup history files. Check database integrity on a weekly basis. Cleanup backup history files till the last database integrity check was done. 46
