Its robust materials ensure sustained top performance, even under high ambient temperatures of up to 60 C, and the addition of a safety-glass cover raises the protection level to IP65. For sports hall applications, a version of Megalux protected against ball impact is also available. 4 PHL-H9.QXD :46 Pagina 9.4 Megalux ~4ME300~Megalux 4ME ME100 R Megalux Megalux is a high-quality high-bay luminaire with an attractive functional design. It comes in a number of versions for a wide range of high-intensity discharge (HID) lamps, compact fluorescent PL-T lamps and QL induction lighting systems. The 4ME300/400/500/700 housings consist of an upper part including the gear unit and a lower part including the lamp holder which is adjustable with one exception, the 4ME300 housing.the housing is completely pre-wired and made of robust cast aluminium. The standard colour is silver for the small 4ME300 housing, which is used for light sources up to 150 W.The standard colour is black for the medium-sized and large 4ME400, 4ME500 and 4ME700 housings, which are used for all higher wattages.the construction of the housing with cooling fins and high-quality components makes it possible to use the 4ME400 and 4ME500 units in ambient temperatures up to 60 C. Lamp wattages up to HPL W and housings in specific colours are available upon request. The 9ME300/400/500/700 reflectors, which have to be ordered separately, are optimised for the size of the 4ME300/400/500/700 housings. For the decorative 300 line, a decorative reflector, a perforated decorative reflector and a slotted decorative reflector, all made of high-purity aluminium, are available. For the 400 and 500 lines, high-purity aluminium reflectors and semi-transparent prismatic acryl reflectors are available. All aluminium reflectors have a highgloss anodised mirror inner surface and produce a light distribution narrow beam, medium beam or wide beam which can be selected with the adjustable lamp holder. Glass covers with mounting rings ensure IP 65 dust and moisture protection; without the glass cover the degree of protection is IP 23. Pendola proposes lamps from halogen to compact discharge as CDM-TP or SDW-T to high pressure mercury lamps, as HPL and HPI bowls, and compact fluorescent lamps PL-C and PL-T. Pendola offers a choice of prismatic or metal reflectors to fit the various lighting beams required. The luminaire has an easy mounting system and integral control gear. The luminaire is equipped with a variable lampholder to create 3 different beams: wide, medium and narrow. The luminaire has a low overall depth, universal mounting system and integral control gear. Its design simplifies installation and reduces cost of ownership, including maintenance costs. The reflector is to be ordered separately. The HDK110 luminaires with the aluminium and enamelled reflector can be equipped with a glass dust cover for humid and dusty surroundings. Knock-outs are provided in the gear housing to generate a flow of air through the reflector. This permits the luminaire to be used in two ways: Either with knock-outs removed and no dust cover, when an open luminaire with IP 23 and self-cleaning reflector (chimney effect) is created Or with knock-outs intact and dust cover fitted, when the luminaire is sealed to IP 65 and can be hosed down The luminaire can be used in ambient temperatures up to 45ºC when open and up to 40ºC when closed, (with acrylic reflector up to 30ºC for 400 W lamps and up to 35ºC for 250 W lamps).
