The latter may include facility fees, technology fees, parking fees, or other mandatory fees. 1. Off-campus students are billed an additional $54 per semester for the technology fee. 2. Effective Spring term 2010, full-time Ohio State University undergraduate students will be assessed a new Student Union Facility Fee in the amount of $27 per quarter. 3. Effective Fall 2009, Ohio University has instituted a $22 per quarter charge for a new student information system. This fee is exempt from the tuition caps, as approved by the Chancellor in June Shawnee State has a reciprocity agreement with Kentucky such that it considers residents of Mason, Lewis, Boyd, Greenup, Carter, Elliot, Lawrence, Fleming & Rowan counties in Kentucky as qualifying for Ohio resident tuition. 5. Akron offers a reduction to the out-of-state surcharge for academically qualified students. 6. Effective Fall 2008, the University of Akron redesigned a non-mandatory parking fee into a transportation fee that is charged to all full-time students. Since the transportation fee is paid by all full-time students, it appears in the Regent's annual survey as a general fee. The transportation fee, however, is not uniformly assessed to all students and therefore not subject to the legislative mandate restricting (instructional and general) fee increases at Ohio's public colleges and universities. 7. Youngstown State has a separate out-of-state Western Pennsylvania Advantage surcharge of $100 for students in Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Crawford, Erie, Lawrence, Mercer and Venango counties in Pennsylvania. Additionally, YSU offers a regional out-of-state surcharge of $1,346 for residents of its Regional Service Area, which includes Chautauqua County in New York; Armstrong, Clarion, Fayette, Forest, Greene, Indiana, Jefferson, Warren, Washington and Westmoreland counties in Pennsylvania; and Brooke, Hancock, Marshall, and Ohio counties in West Virginia.

The out-of-state surcharge for doctoral students attending Cleveland State University is $2,054 per semester; which represents 40% of the maximum out-of-state surcharge of $5,135 per semester. 2. Effective Spring term 2010, all full-time Ohio State University graduate students will be assessed a new Student Union Facility Fee in the amount of $25 per quarter. 3. The Instructional Fees and Out-of-State Surcharge reflect amounts assessed to students enrolled after summer Instructional Fees and Out-of State Surcharge for students enrolled prior to Fall 2009 are $6,363 and $4,272 respectively.

Bowling Green State University College has approved a mid year fee increase, effective Spring semester. Beginning Spring the in-state, undergraduate instructional fees for a full-time student will be $4,020 per term while the general fee will be $668 per term. 2. Cleveland State University has approved a mid year fee increase, effective Spring semester. Beginning Spring the in-state, undergraduate instructional fees for a full-time student will be $3,537 per term while the general fee will be $561 per term with an additional surcharge of $1, for non-residents. 3. Effective Spring quarter 2010, a new student union facility fee will be charged to all students such that a full-time undergraduate student will pay $27 per quarter while a full time graduate student will pay $25 per quarter. 4. Effective Fall 2009, Ohio University has instituted a $22 per quarter charge for a new student information system. This fee is exempt from the tuition caps, as approved by the Chancellor in June a. Effective Winter term, Ohio University has instituted a mid year fee increase for in-state, undergraduate students. Specifically, beginning Winter 2010 the in-state, undergraduate instructional fee for a full-time student will increase $103 to $2,559 per term. 5. The Shawnee State University has approved a mid year fee increase, effective Spring Term Beginning Spring 2010, the in-state, undergraduate instructional fee for a full-time student (A) will be $2,484 per term, the general fee will be $288 per term and the out-of-state surcharge will be $2,244. The in-state, undergraduate instructional fee for a full-time student (B) will be $2,682 per term, the general fee will be $300 per term and the out-of-state surcharge will be $2,244. The annualized fees reflect the increases detailed within this footnote. 6. The University of Akron has approved a mid year fee increase, effective Spring Term Beginning Spring 2010, the in-state, undergraduate instructional fee for a full-time student will be $3,736 per term and the general fee will be $372 per term. 9. The University of Toledo has approved a mid year fee increase, effective Spring Term Beginning Spring 2010, the in-state, undergraduate instructional fee for a full-time student will be $3,527 per term and the general fee will be $644 per term. In addition, the graduate level general fee increase to $644 per term.

Columbus State has approved a mid year fee increase, that will be waived, effective Winter Quarter. Beginning Winter 2010, the in-state, undergraduate instructional fees for a fulltime student will be $1, per term and the out-of-state surcharge fee will be $1, per term. 3. Cuyahoga Community College approved a mid year fee increase in Summer Term Beginning Summer 2010, the undergraduate instructional fees for a full-time student will be $1, per term, the general fee will be $ per term, the out-of-district surcharge is $ per term while the out-of-state surcharge will be $2, per term. 4. Northwest State currently has approval from the Chancellor to waive $75 per term in tuition and fees such that the effective annualized tuition rate for in-state undergraduate students is $3990. Note, however, that the actual annualized tuition rate is $4, Owens College has approved a mid year fee increase, effective Spring semester. Beginning Spring the in-state, undergraduate instructional fees for a full-time student will be $1,565 per term, the general fee will be $217 and the out-of-state surcharge fee will be $1,565 per term. 6. Rio Grande Community College does not accept out-of-state students.
