MEETING CALLED TO ORDER Dr. Kenneth Searfoss, Chairperson called the meeting to order at 9:04 a.m. ROLL CALL: Dr. Kathy Shibley - Yes Dr. Brockway - Absent Dr. Searfoss - Yes Mr. Kramer - Yes Mr. Bartels - Absent No quorum for the meeting. Meeting may have to be cancelled. From 9:25 a.m. to 9:52 a.m. Board had an unofficial discussion. At 10:00 a.m., Dr. Stephanie Davidson, Ohio Board of Regents, arrived with a letter from the Ohio Board of Regents Chancellor designating her as the official Ohio Board of Regents designee effective immediately. With her as a Board Member, there is a quorum for the meeting today. (Listen to tape for further information regarding Board Members.) 3 PAGE 3. Executive Director Mr. John Ware reported on the following: 1. Budget Update: The Board s operating budget request for the biennium that begins on July 1, 2013 was submitted to the Office of Budget and Management on September 17, The budget amounts that the Board requested represented an increase of approximately 2% for each year of the biennium. The funds requested by the Board remain below the estimated fee revenue for the biennium so no fee increases are anticipated during the next three years. 2. Annual Report Update: The web based application for online submission of annual reports is now operational and schools have begun to submit data for the FY 2012 Annual th Report. All schools are required to submit their reports online by October 5 and in the next few months we will begin compiling the data to be used in the Board s Annual Report. We hope to have this year s Annual Report finalized by the end of the calendar year. 3. Director Training: We will be holding our second director training seminar for this year th on October 18 at the State Library of Ohio. Approximately school directors are expected to attend. I anticipate that we will schedule the next training seminar for the Spring of Investigator Ms. Kimberly Stein reported on the following: Since the July 24, 2012 meeting, we have opened sixteen (16) new cases. Since the July 24, 2012 meeting, we have closed twenty (20) total cases.
