Questions arose about previous issues Atlanta Regional Workforce Board had with Atlanta Health Careers Institute. Additional information will be requested prior to final decision.

2 James Jackson made the motion to table Emergency Medical Technician and Patient Care Technician until additional information and documentation can be reviewed. James Jackson made the motion to not approve Medical Assistant/Electronic Health Records due to excessive cost. New Program Request: Diesel Driving Academy Advanced Tractor Trailer Driver Training The committee discussed the excessive cost for the training. The provider has agreed to offer a scholarships for eligible WIA participants not eligible for Pell. The average CDL training is three weeks while their program is 20 weeks allowing the students more driving time. Tuqwan Jordan made the motion to approve Advanced Tractor Trailer Driver Training. The motion was seconded by Theresa Austin and unanimously agreed upon. New Program Request: Bobby Dodd Institute Certified Logistics Training/Workplace Fundamentals The committee discussed the increased demand in the logistics/transportation arena. It was noted that Bobby Dodd is working with Hire Dynamic to help participants secure employment. Audrey Lawrence made the motion to approve Certified Logistics Training/Workplace Fundamentals. The motion was seconded by Tuqwan Jordan and unanimously agreed upon. Additional Program Request: Dental Staff School Dental Assisting 101 Questions arose about the credential not being required for employment in the state of Georgia. The committee was informed that Dental Staff School is aware that all WIA students will have to obtain a credential. James Jackson made the motion to approve Dental Assisting 101. Additional Program Request: New Life Technical Academy High School Completion Questions arose about there being no industry credential. Marcia Blanding made the motion to not approve High School Completion.

3 The motion was seconded by James Jackson and unanimously agreed upon. Additional Program Request: Applications Technology Group, Inc. JAVA Questions arose about training related employment. Marcia Blanding made the motion to not approve JAVA. The motion was seconded by James Jackson and unanimously agreed upon. Additional Program Request: Tyler Communications, Inc. Microsoft Office Specialist Certification Theresa Austin made the motion to approve Microsoft Office Specialist Certification. Additional Program Request: Tyler Communications, Inc. Entrepreneurial Management Certification Marcia Blanding made the motion to not approve Entrepreneurial Management. Additional Program Request: Clayton State University- Center for Continuing Education- Pharmacy Technician Certificate Program Audrey Lawrence made the motion to approve Pharmacy Technician Certificate Program. Additional Program Request: Healthcare Labs Training Center - Phlebotomy/EKG James Jackson made the motion to approve Phlebotomy/EKG.

4 Additional Program Request: Healthcare Labs Training Center Clinical Program Tuqwan Jordan made the motion to table Clinical program until additional information is supplied regarding the program that will include details of the refresher course. Additional Program Request: The Management Academy SCRUM Master Certification Exam prep with Career Assistance and Video Based Review, Six Sigma Black Belt Certification Exam prep with Career Assistance and Video Based Review, Risk Management Professional (RMP) Exam Prep with Career Assistance and Video Based Review, Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) Exam Prep with Career Assistance and Video Based Review. Atlanta Regional Workforce Board made a recommendation to approve The Management Academy programs with a five (5) slot participant minimum per program due to the programs being in high demand. It was brought to the committee s attention that many existing providers who submit additional program request do not have performance information so they submit previous performance of other programs. The committee decided that performance will need to be provided for program consideration. Tuqwan Jordan made the motion to not recommend SCRUM Master Certification Exam prep with Career Assistance and Video Based Review due to not having program performance. Tuqwan Jordan made the motion to not recommend Six Sigma Black Belt Certification Exam prep with Career Assistance and Video Based Review. Tuqwan Jordan made the motion to not recommend Risk Management Professional (RMP) Exam Prep with Career Assistance and Video Based Review. Tuqwan Jordan made the motion to not recommend Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) Exam Prep with Career Assistance and Video Based Review. Tuqwan Jordan made the motion to not recommend CAPM Exam Prep with MS Project Career Assistance and Video Based Review.

5 Tuqwan Jordan made the motion to not recommend ITIL Certification Series (Foundation A Service Operation B, & Continual Service Improvement C) Exam Prep with Career Assistance, and Video Based Review. Additional Program Request: Community Connects, Inc. CompTIA Network James Jackson made the motion to approve CompTIA Network. The motion was seconded by Tuqwan Jordan and unanimously agreed upon.
