Currently they are using The Pursuit of Holiness by Jerry Bridges as a study guide, and they are beginning to plan for the 2012 Promise Keepers events. 3 ROOTS Alive s young marrieds Wednesday, April 4 ~ 8.oop Putting down roots may begin with bowling a couple games. Maybe not - but bowling with friends, or making new friends rocks anyway. MEN S GOLF LEAGUE Spring is here and it is time to get the clubs back in the trunk and get ready to golf. The 1st night of golf league is only a few weeks away. Our 1 st tee time is at 5:00 PM sharp on Wednesday April 18 at The Meadows at Grand Valley State University. The league will run for 18 weeks with a year end outing planned for Saturday morning August 25. Cost for the league is $360.00, which covers 18 weeks of golf + league dues (outing is extra). Sign up and ($180.00) of league costs is due to Kurt Roode (H , C , kurt.mbk@mcleodusa.net) by Sunday April 15. Sign up is limited to the 1st 20 teams that sign up. If you cannot make it every week and would like to be on the sub list, please call or also. We need lots of subs. This is a great opportunity for fun and fellowship also. Need to get out for some exercise? Need an excuse to go out for ice cream? Well, dust off the glove and lets play ball!! I am looking to start a mens slow-pitch softball team on Monday nights. 4 Connecting in PRAYER Pray For Each Other Jake Meinema is at Spectrum Hospital following surgery for an closed head injury. Jake is healing well, both Chris and Stacey Udell have no doubt that prayer is the reason he is doing so well. The doctor has given them positive reports for which they are very thankful. Continue to pray for a miracle of complete healing and God s peace that passes all understanding. Jill Scholma has been diagnosed with cervical cancer. Jill is scheduled for surgery on April 11 at Zeeland Hospital with some additional testing to follow. For Jill, Randy and family may the Alive community cover them in prayer for a miracle of complete healing, may their days be filled with peace not stress, the doctors have wisdom, and the entire family find their strength in Jesus the great physician. Continue to pray for Stephanie Elders and Byrle Haan as they continue their individual challenges with health. For each of them and their families pray that God s love, grace, and mercy is above and beyond anything they can imagine. Jordan Huttinga is out of ICU and in the main university hospital. Jordan has made amazing progress. He is doing both physical and occupational therapy, walking, and hopes to move to the rehab floor in the next week. Jordan is asking for prayers for healing and patience. Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord are the words of Jordan and his wife. Pray With Thanksgiving God s amazing work. Alive as community witnessed the testimony and profession of faith of Sam DeZwaan. How beautiful to hear his words over and over I believe. God s abundant outpouring of His Spirit and blessing on our community and worship together. As Alive grows and brings LIFE may we always remember to praise God from whom every blessing flows. Pray and Intercede For shared prayer requests in confidence or known only to God, may the God of all hope fill them with peace that only He can give. Continue to pray for the board of Alive as they implement changes, pray for leaders, and above all for protection for all of Alive against spiritual warfare. Pray for our community and for discernment to know where the Spirit of God is leading Alive. Pray The Word What would our testimony be if we had to give it today? Do we have forgiveness and demonstrate forgiveness and love? That kind of relationship has power! If you have the Shepherd, you have grace for every sin, direction for every turn, a candle for every corner, and an anchor for every storm.you have EVERYTHING you need! Max Lucado

In the event of a cancellation, notification will be through local news and radio sources: WOOD-TV, WOTV 4, WXSP-TV. Information will also be posted on each station's web site immediately. For activities or services already in progress, there will be instructions for either shelter, or evacuation. In the event a cancellation takes place prior to activities, the building will not be open.
