2 Teaching Experience When I first joined Nanyang Technological University (previously known as Nanyang Technological Institute till 1992) in 1988, I was attached to the School of Accountancy and Business (SAB) which was later renamed as Nanyang Business School (NBS). In 2004, the Economics Division in which I was a member was transferred to the newly established School of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS). Over the last 25 years at NTU, I had taught courses under various degree programmes, such as follows: Teaching at Post Graduate Programmes at NTU: Nanyang MBA programme Master of Arts in Contemporary China (MACC) Master of Public Administration (MPA) Master of Managerial Economics (MME) Teaching at Undergraduate Programmes at NTU: Bachelor of Arts (Economics) Bachelor of Accounting Bachelor of Business Courses that I had taught included Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Monetary Economics, Money and Banking, Financial Economics, International Finance, Economics of Tourism, Chinese Economy, as well as Southeast Asian Macroeconomic Management. Visiting Fellowship I was awarded a Visiting Fellowship by Zhejiang University, PRC in During the trip to Zhejiang University, I conducted five seminars for academic staff and postgraduate students. I also went to Suzhou University to give a public talk on exchange rate policy in Singapore. Executive Training Consultancy I have been actively involved in conducting executive development programmes and coordinating courses since In fact, I was one of the pioneers in developing the Mandarin Executive Development Programme in the Nanyang Business School, NTU. Cecchetti published by McGraw-Hill in International Research Collaboration Since 2006, I was involved in an international research network called China in the World, the World in China Network (in short, ChinaWorld Research Network). The network which is based at the Asia Research Centre, Copenhagen Business School, currently comprises more than 30 universities and research institutes. The research network website is as follows: The research network was set up in March 2006 and held its inaugural workshop at the Asia Research Centre, Copenhagen Business School in the same year. In July 2007, the group met at Hanoi to hold one panel session on China in the World and the World in China, during the 7 th ASEAN Inter-University Seminars on Social Development, jointly organized by the National University of Singapore and Vietnam National University. I presented one paper each in the two conferences and also attended meetings of the research network held in Copenhagen and Hanoi. Because of my active involvement and expertise in overseas Chinese business and the Chinese economy, I was invited by the Asian Research Centre to be the Co-editor to the Special Issue of the Copenhagen Journal of Asian Studies, 'Chinese Capitalism in Developed and Emerging Markets: A Parallel Economy to Global Capitalism?' The special issue was published in December 2007.
