RFP REVISIONS RFP REVISIONS PART 6 Attachments, Elevator: Delete the Elevator Design Guide (ITG 08-11) and replace with Elevator Design Guide (ITG FY13). PART 3 CHAPTER 6, ESR G40 Site Electrical Utilities: Add the following sentence to the end of the first paragraph: "Reconnect existing loads (Gate 3 sign and Cox N114) to new service." PART 3 CHAPTER 6, ESR D50 ELECTRICAL: Delete ESR D50 in its entirety and provide the following revised ESR D50: D50 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM DESCRIPTION Demolish the existing interior service entrance system complete, including distribution and lighting panelboards, enclosed circuit breakers, motor starters, disconnect switches, lighting equipment, telecommunications (CATV, data and telephone) outlets and all associated equipment, boxes and hangars, lighting and branch and telecommunication conduits and conductors. Provide an interior electrical system consisting of Service Entrance Wiring and Equipment, Distribution and Lighting Panelboards, Conduits, Feeder and Branch Circuits, Motor Control Equipment, Lighting and Branch Wiring, Communications, Security and Alarm Systems, Emergency Lighting, Grounding, including accessories and devices as necessary and required for a complete and usable system. This section covers installations out to the building 5 foot (1.5 meter) line. The interior distribution system shall consist of insulated copper conductors in conduit. GENERAL SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS Provide an Electrical System complete in place, tested and approved, as specified throughout this RFP, as needed for a complete, usable and proper installation. All equipment shall be installed per the criteria of PTS Section D50 and the manufacturer s recommendations. Where the word "should" is used in the manufacturer s recommendations, substitute the word "shall". D5010 ELECTRICAL SERVICE AND DISTRIBUTION D MAIN TRANSFORMERS Main transformer(s) are defined in Section G40, Site Electrical Utilities. D SERVICE ENTRANCE EQUIPMENT All service into the facility shall be underground.

3 Provide main distribution panel (MDP) as service equipment. Page 3 of 6 Service entrance equipment size and capacity shall be based upon existing, new and future loads of the facility fully occupied with tenants in a housing environment. One known future load is a hydraulic elevator. D INTERIOR DISTRIBUTION TRANSFORMERS Not Used. D PANELBOARDS Provide distribution and branch circuit panelboards to serve existing, new and future loads as required. Locate panelboards in dedicated electrical closets or spaces to the maximum extent practical. Locate panelboards on the same floor as the loads served to the maximum extent possible. Each distribution panelboard shall be directly fed from a dedicated circuit in the MDP. Provide individual conduit and conductors from the MDP to each panelboard. Feeder circuits shall be sized for a maximum voltage drop of 2% at 100% rated load of panelboard. Branch circuits shall be sized for a maximum voltage drop of 3% at design loads. Panelboard in each unit or room shall not be provided. D ENCLOSED CIRCUIT BREAKERS Provide enclosed circuit breakers for mechanical equipment when required by equipment manufacturer. D MOTOR CONTROL CENTERS Provide power circuits, individual motor starters with disconnect switches, combination motor starters, variable speed drives, reduced voltage controllers, manual motor starters for motor controls as required by mechanical equipment. Provide all circuits and connections for architectural, fire protection, plumbing and mechanical equipment as required by this RFP. D OTHER SERVICE AND DISTRIBUTION Provide transient voltage surge suppressors (TVSS) at the following locations service entrance. D5020 LIGHTING AND BRANCH WIRING Provide electrical connections for all systems requiring electrical service. Provide lighting and general purpose receptacles throughout all spaces as required. Provide dedicated circuits and connections for each of the following special outlets: washers and dryers (GFE). Provide dedicated circuits to all ancillary office equipment such as copiers, printers, fax machines and shredders. Provide hard wired circuits to the auto-flush terminals at urinals and sinks in public toilet area. Provide a dedicated circuit for each vending machine, ice maker, and coffee maker and game machine.

Page 4 of 6 For each telecommunication equipment cabinet installed in a telecommunications room, provide (2) dedicated 20-amp circuits each circuit serving a quadruplex receptacle on the cabinet, not on the wall. D BRANCH WIRING All branch wiring shall be insulated copper conductors in conduit. D LIGHTING EQUIPMENT Provide a complete lighting system consisting of exit and emergency lighting and area lighting consisting of fluorescent lighting including switches and automatic controls including occupancy sensors. Provide 2 x4, 120-volt, recessed linear fluorescent luminaires equipped with 28 watt T-8 lamps in all hard ceilings with the appropriate flange kits. Provide wall mount luminaires equipped with 28 watt T-8 lamps above vanity mirrors.ballasts shall be programmed start except in mechanical, electrical and telecommunications areas where instant start ballast shall be provided. D5030 COMMUNICATIONS AND SECURITY The Room Requirements Section identifies locations for communications and security systems and equipment, unless noted otherwise in the following sub-elements. D TELECOMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS Provide a complete building entrance facility, backbone distribution system, and horizontal distribution system including, but not necessarily limited to, all wiring, pathway systems, grounding, backboards, connector blocks, protectors for all copper service entrance pairs, patch panels, outlet boxes, telephone jacks (ports), data jacks (ports) and cover plates with labeling. Provide Category 6 Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) copper cable for horizontal voice and data cables. D PUBLIC ADDRESS SYSTEMS Provide a Public Address system using the speakers of the Mass Notification System. Interface the Public Address System with the Mass Notification System. D INTERCOMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS Not Used. D TELEVISION SYSTEMS Provide a CATV system consisting of empty raceways with pull strings, junction boxes, outlet boxes, hangars, supports and blank cover plates to enable system installation by the commercial CATV supplier. Provide one outlet per bedroom and one outlet in each common area (Multi-purpose and Game Rooms). Coordinate with the customer for specific location.

5 D SECURITY SYSTEMS Page 5 of 6 An Electronic Security System (ESS) is the integrated electronic system that encompasses one or more of the following subsystems; access control system (ACS), intrusion detection system (IDS), and closed circuit television (CCTV) systems for assessment of alarm conditions. The ESS for this project shall meet requirements of UFC NF, Security Engineering Electronic Security Systems and consist of an ACS and an IDS and a CCTV system. Coordinate with the customer for specific location. Provide an ESS consisting of empty raceways with pull strings, outlet boxes, cover plates, and associated power outlets to enable system installation by the ESS supplier. Provide an ACS utilizing credential devices to monitor and control personnel movement into the facility. The ACS shall log and archive all transactions and alert authorities of unauthorized entry attempts. D OTHER COMMUNICATIONS AND ALARM SYSTEMS D5090 OTHER ELECTRICAL SERVICES D GENERAL CONSTRUCTION ITEMS (ELECTRICAL) Provide General Construction Items (Electrical) including, but not necessarily limited to, all connections, fittings, boxes and associated equipment needed by this and other sections of this RFP as required for a complete and usable system. Conduits that penetrate fire-rated walls, fire-rated partitions, or fire-rated floors shall be firestopped in accordance with Section C10, Interior Construction. D EMERGENCY LIGHTING AND POWER Provide power and wiring for emergency lights and exit lights throughout the facility. D GROUNDING SYSTEMS Provide a complete grounding system for the facility electrical and telecommunications systems. Each system shall include busbars in each Electrical and Telecommunication Room with bonding backbones. D LIGHTNING PROTECTION Not Used. D ELECTRIC HEATING Provide power wiring and connections as required for all electric heating systems and equipment. D ENERGY MANAGEMENT CONTROL SYSTEM Provide power wiring and connections as required for all systems and equipment including the Direct Digital Control (DDC) system. Coordinate connection requirements with switchgear and pad mounted transformer kwh metering. Provide telecommunication outlet at each DDC panel.

6 Page 6 of 6 D BUILDING PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEM Not Used. D OTHER SPECIAL SYSTEMS AND DEVICES Provide electrical equipment and connections as required for the installation of a new hydraulic elevator. Coordinate with ESR D10 for elevator requirements. Please note that if your specific question is not addressed, the Solicitation RFP, Specifications or Drawings have adequately addressed your inquiry. Please propose in accordance with the RFP. -End of Amendment
