1 ALTERNATE No. 2 BFS LOCATION: Locate BFS North of B-3 on new house-keeping pad. HOUSE KEEPING PAD and DRAIN CONNECTIONS: Furnish house-keeping pad for new boilers B-2 and B-3 including trench drains to extend existing drains. Trench drain shall be a 4 x 8 10 gauge 304 stainless steel channel anchored to existing floor with #3 re-bar suspended 3" "chairs" on 12 centers both North-South and East-West with re-bar within 3" of edges. Concrete: 3,000 pound test. The existing south drain shall be extended approximately 3.5 to the east to the east edge of the new pad with stainless steel cap. The drain shall extend to the west to the wall north of the new location for boiler B-3. The north drain shall be extended south and turned east to cross the center of the rear of Boiler B-2. The bottom of the channel shall have a 20 gauge 304 stainless steel bottom plate graded 2% to the existing drains and grouted in place prior to the pour. After the pad has cured, the top of channel shall be cut with an 8 diameter penetration with a stainless steel collar and removable grate. The pad shall extend a minimum to 1-6 outside of the foot-print of the new boilers with 1 chamfered edges. Yellow-edging is for delineation of the pad and will be provided by others after a three-month curing period. Pentration for drains and blow-down. 10 gauge 304 S.S. 4 Switch as shown with clear Lexan cover on hinge on outside of west exit and on outside of east door entry into generator room. Lexan cover shall have no locking mechanism. Furnish an additional sign above the switch in.1" engraved white letters in read back-ground identifying nature and function of switch.: " EMERGENCY SHUT-OFF BUTTON". Activation of either switch shall disable all natural gas and/or diesel fuel-burning equipment including make-up air combustion fans and related gas valves. Signal conduit routed to switches shall be in 1/2" EMT and interfaces with boilers No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3. Lowvoltage conductor: No. 18 copper THHN. Line Voltage conducter: No. 10 THHN. ED-3

New Make-Up Air Fan wih new 18" x 36" access panel.. New Baffle: 16 Gauge with 1.5 pound liner on both sides. Base Bid. Blank-off of existing make-up duct with 16 gauge galvanized sheet metal with 1.5 pound liner for sound abatement. Base Bid New 16" (sixteen inch) round make-up duct for Boiler No. 3. Existing outside air inlet in soffit south of mechanical room. Base Bid. New 18" x 42" lined sheet-metal drop with side-discharge and motorized damper positioned south of new 700 HP boiler. Motorized damper with pilot switch opens on call for boiler and closes end-switch prior to operation of boiler. Route to new lined 36" x 10" retangular duct on west wall above Boiler B-3. Terminate ductwork 2' above the new drainage channel (PD-1) with motorized damper and louver at the bottom of the duct. Minimum air-flow at full operation of Boiler No. 2: 5,943 CFM. Nominal CFM rating of boiler requirment: 7,000 CFM. Test and Balance to 5,943 CFM. Motorized damper shall operate on call from Boiler B-3 and close end-switch permitting B-3 to operate. Insulate all make-up water piping in Alternate No. 3: Make-Up Air Fan vicinity of B-3 with 2" fiberglass Make-Up Air Fan- Enervex SFTA-32 with 480 Volt 3-Phase 5 Horsepower inverter-rated TEFC Motor with VFD and static pressure sensor control. insulation. Existing 3-Phase electrical service from 30 Amp existing three-phase switch on existing boiler control module for original boiler No. 2. Intercept existing service above boiler with new junction box and extend service with four (4) No. 10 THHN copper. Change Fusing to 20 Amp and Relabel existing safety switch as "Make-Up AIr Fan.". Static pressure controller set to maintain positive pressure adjacent to new boiler No. 2 and ramp make-up air fan according to boiler VFD and static pressure signal. ED-5
