Enter the system mode password (manufacturer s default is 1 [ALPHA] [ALPHA] 66831) and press the enter ( ) key. Press the key to access the SYS MODE MENU 2 screen. Press F2 for DOWNLOAD. 3 Press the enter ( ) key to select FILE GROUP _1, the default, GID Enter the Group ID 1 password (Z66831), as shown in step 2. Press the enter ( ) key. Press F4 for Multi-App. Press F3 for FULL Download. Press the appropriate Fx key to clear application(s) from Groups 1, 2 and or 3. Press F2 for Modem download. Confirm the download parameters. Press F3 to Edit a parameter or F4 to Start the download. Download parameters are: *ZP = the download phone number provided. *ZT = the TID to download. NOTE: add leading zeroes to make it 8 digits. *ZA = *MA *ZR = 6 The terminal displays DOWNLOADING. A status indicator appears. Each asterisk represents a 10% increment of the download. When the download is complete, the terminal begins to validate all files loaded, load parameters, and returns to the VMAC idle menu. Allow the terminal to complete the parameter init.

3 Full IP Download to a Terminal with Existing Applications. (The terminal will display the SoftPay menu or a VMAC menu that includes Comm Server.) The V x 570 is a true multi-application terminal. Two utility programs are required VMAC and Comm Server. VMAC creates a menu to toggle between applications and makes sure other applications are coexisting without issues. Comm Server is the application to provide high-speed IP communication. Note: all IP downloads must be initiated from Comm Server. Therefore, if the terminal is empty and displaying DOWNLOAD NEEDED, the download must be via dial Press * to return to the VMAC menu. Press F2 for Comm Server. Press the far right purple key under the symbol for a terminal. Press the key and Press F1 for DOWNLOAD. Enter 1 and press the enter ( ) key to select GID 1. Press F4 for a Multi-App download. Press F3 for a FULL download. Press F3 for SSL. Confirm the download parameters. Press F3 to Edit a parameter or F4 to Start the download. Download parameters are: *ZP = the download URL:port number. *ZT = the TID to download. *ZA = *MA The terminal displays DOWNLOADING. A status indicator appears. Each asterisk represents a 10% increment of the download. When the download is complete, the terminal begins to validate all files loaded, load parameters, and returns to the VMAC idle menu. Allow the terminal to complete the parameter init.
4 SALE (Swiped or Manually Keyed) Use this function to authorize and capture transactions for settlement. If the magnetic stripe is unreadable and a manual entry of the card is necessary, you must obtain a card imprint on the sales slip using a manual imprinter as verification that the card is present. Press F2 for Sale SWIPE OR ENTER ACCT CHOOSE CARD: DEBIT CREDIT TERMINAL MAY PROMPT: ENTER EXP DATE V-CODE AMOUNT: PROCESSING Swipe card or manually key card number and press Enter Press F2 for credit card. Exp. Date: Key expiration date and press Enter V-Code: Key in the Card Code and press Enter or press Enter for other options. **The card code can be found on the signature line of the customer s credit card. Key amount and press Enter Terminal will issue an approval code.. The terminal will automatically return to the idle prompt. **Quick Service Restaurants may not require a customer signature if the transaction amount is below a pre-determined signature floor limit. In these instances, the customer signature line will not print on the receipt. DEBIT SALE: Use this function to authorize and capture transactions for settlement. This procedure is if the VX570 is connected to an Omni 7000 le PinPad. Omni 7000 le PinPad Customer: Swipe debit card though the Everest PinPad. SWIPE CARD SELECT PAYMENT TYPE ENTER PIN WANT CASHBACK? NO YES Terminal May Prompt: ENTER CASH AMT Terminal May Prompt: AMOUNT: $ 0.00 CONFIRM AMOUNT: NO $$.$$ YES DIALING. APPROVED #### Customer: Press ATM button on Everest PinPad. Customer: Key pin number and press Enter Customer: Press desired option Customer: Key cash back amount and press Enter VX570 Terminal Merchant: Key dollar amount on VX570 terminals and press Enter Omni 7000 le PinPad Customer: Verify amount on Everest PinPad and press Yes VX570 Terminal Terminal dials to host for authorization. REPRINT Use this function to reprint the last transaction or any transaction stored in the terminal s memory. Press Reprint (3 rd purple key from left) LAST RECEIPT ANY RECEIPT : LAST RECEIPT ANY RECEIPT Press F2 to reprint the last receipt or press F3 to reprint another receipt. Key invoice number and press Enter **Only the Merchant Copy will reprint. Press Clear to return to the idle prompt. DEBIT SALE: Use this function to authorize and capture transactions for settlement. Press the key under for additional reporting options SETTLE Use this function at the end of each day to settle the batch for payment and clear your terminal of transaction information. Run an adding machine tape of the transactions. 2. Print appropriate report (see report instructions). Compare your totals to the terminal report. 3. If your tape matches the terminal totals, proceed with the Settlement instruction below. If your audit does not match the terminal totals, repeat steps 1 and 2.
