The College strives to empower students to complete their education in a timely manner and to guide them toward meaningful careers or to four-year universities. At Tri-C, we are part of a national movement to redesign, reinvent and reset the completion agenda. Our five key priorities are: To provide student experiences and services that result in success and completion To work more closely with employers to ensure we provide students with degrees and certificates that have labor market value To proactively tell the story of our successes and to promote transparency about our challenges in effective and innovative ways in rapidly changing information outlets To continuously prioritize the College s resources for the benefit of our students, maintaining the 33 percent that Tri-C students pay toward the cost of their education To continue to carefully nurture and grow Tri-C s legacy of collaboration and engagement with the community More than 85 percent of Tri-C graduates live and work in Northeast Ohio. 3 pursuing our Mission It is our mission to provide education and training so students have opportunities for family-sustaining employment and to transfer to four-year colleges and universities. Founded in 1963 as Ohio s first community college, Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C ) has since provided high-quality, affordable education and programs to more than 900,000 members of our community. 41,000+ Tri-C Students have successfully transferred to 4-year universities in the past 5 years Tuition at Cuyahoga Community College is the lowest in Northeast Ohio and among the lowest in Ohio. In 2013, more than 1,000 local companies hired Tri-C students or contracted with Tri-C to train their workers. Each semester, more than 1,000 credit courses are offered in more than 140 career and technical programs. One-year and short-term certificates are available in health careers, business, engineering and technology, and public service. Post-degree certificates are also available in a variety of disciplines. 60,000+ credit AND non-credit students annually attend Tri-C in more than 140 degree and certificate programs Tri-C offers more than 600 courses fully online or in a blended format. Through partnerships with regional businesses, the College provides cutting-edge training and solutions to enhance workforce development in Northeast Ohio. 4 5

Tri-C ranks 8th among all colleges in the nation, and No. 1 in Ohio, in awarding associate degrees in nursing. Tri-C ranks No. 1 in Ohio in awarding degrees in all other health career related professions. Tri-C ranks 28th in the nation, and No. 1 in Ohio, in awarding associate degrees to African Americans. Cuyahoga Community College was recognized in 2013 as one of the 10 best training organizations in North America by trainingindustry.com. Tri-C offers associate degrees for transfer as well as occupational career programs in: Tri-C ranks No. 1 in the state of Ohio with the highest - Humanities and communications police testing scores, averaging 93%. - Science and mathematics - Social and behavioral sciences For the fifth consecutive year, GI Jobs Magazine has - Agriculture and natural resources named Tri-C a Military Friendly School. - Business - Engineering - Health careers - Public services 6 7
5 Tri-c Students Cuyahoga Community College serves more than 60,000 credit and non-credit students annually: 65% are enrolled part time. 56% are seeking an associate degree or are taking courses to prepare for transfer to a four-year institution. 29 Is the average age 61% Are female 30% are focusing in areas related to health careers. 17% attend only evening or weekend classes. 67% are enrolled in technical job training courses. 17% are enrolled in business programs. 6 Workforce Development and Training Through Corporate College and Workforce Solutions, Cuyahoga Community College offers a variety of credit and non-credit career training opportunities: Certificates designed to meet specific job or career needs, ranging from fast-track classes to short-term programs Professional training and development courses designed to be completed in under six months Courses specifically designed to prepare students for industry and national certification exams in select areas of study Tri-C has partnerships with key manufacturing companies to meet specific high-demand industry needs. 90% ninety percent of Tri-C graduates FROM Career Programs Find Employment Eighty-three Percent Of those jobs are related to their field of study

More than 500,000 residents attend Tri-C-sponsored cultural and community programs each year. for every $1 of support for tri-c from cuyahoga county, tri-c provides a RETURN OF $10 IN ECONOMIC BENEFIT 92% of Cuyahoga County residents said that Tri-C offers a high-quality education at an affordable price. * More than 10,000 community members are reached through Tri-C s youth and early college programs each year. The number of cooperative education and internship programs increased by 280% in Tri-C is one of 14 national locations offering the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program.
