1) Workspace To start, enter your User ID and password. Make sure that you re logging in to a demo account: there has to be Log in Simulation text on the upper side of the window. If you d like to log in to a live account, then just click on the Switch to live button to change the platform s settings. Under File on the top menu bar, click Workspace and select New and choose Blank Workspace or Workspace to start. Blank workspace allows you to customise your workspace according to your preferences. New Workspace is a menu of pre-set templates for your selection. 2) Prices and Trade module and adding instruments Most efficient way to add products is via Instrument Explorer. Click Tools on the top menu bar, select Prices and Trade to open the Prices and Trade panel. Click Tools, select Instrument Explorer to search for instrument. (In Instrument Explorer, products are listed by product category, then by exchange.)
Type partial or full name of the instrument under the Look for box. Click on plus (+) sign to expand product list. To view prices of chosen, drag selected product and drop into Prices and Trade panel. View instruments as Trade Boards or Price List. You can change the view by clicking the button next to Add Instrument: 3) Customising Prices and Trade panel Right click on the top row (grey color) of Prices and Trade panel. Select Settings, click Choose Columns to add or remove certain columns. 4) News and Economic Calendar at a glance To view the economic calendar and news just click News on the top menu bar:
5) Add charts To add charts, click Tools on the top menu bar and choose Charts. To view the chart of an instrument just drag the instrument from Prices and Trade module onto the chart. Select time zone: On the chart, you can select the time zone based on your country of domicile. Right click on the time bar found on the bottom of the chart. Select time axis, then Time Zone. Re-scale price line: Click on chart line, you can shift the chart line freely. Customize chart scale: Click on either the x-axis or y-axis, to drag in/out the chart scale. 6) Monitor trading conditions You can see all the trading conditions and commissions per asset classes. Click Account on the top menu bar and choose Trading Conditions. To view trading conditions, select list type by Product Class. For FX, select currency pair; for Futures, select Contract; for CFDs and Stocks, select by Country Exchange.
7) Place your orders First of all, make sure that Trading has been enabled (Tools Enable Trading). You can also find that just under the menu bar. There are many possibilities to place your order. First place being the menu bar: under every instrument class you can choose either Trade or Order. From Trade window you can place orders with market-price, but you can also place a regular order in the same window.
Select instrument Choose amount Open Related orders window to add Take profit and Stopp loss orders. Place an order In addition you can add orders: In Prices and Trade panel: Click right mouse button on an instrument and select Trade or Order. There s a Trade, Option and Order window just below the Prices and Trade panel: You can also open Trade and Order windows on charts by clicking right mouse button on a chart.
8) Change and edit you orders To change and edit your orders: Click Tools, select Open Orders Look for Open Orders panel, click to select pacific order To Change, Create order/cancel order. 9) Manage your account You can find all the information related to your Account under the Account on the top menu bar. The most important and useful panel is Account Summary. On the left side there is information about your account s cash and positions summary. Non-margin positions The current market value of any securities (e.g. equities, bonds etc.) held as collateral for margin requirements. The market value is calculated using bid price. Unrealised margin profit/loss The unrealised profit/loss on your positions in margin based products. Cost to close The cost of closing your positions, e.g. commissions and trading fees. Unrealised value of positions The sum of Non-margin positions (value of collateral), Unrealised margin profit/loss (unrealised value of all open positions) and Cost to close (commissions and fees). Cash balance The current value of the cash funds in your account. Transactions not booked Trades, commissions etc. that have not yet been booked. For example trades executed today, will be booked next business day. Account value The current value of the account, combining Cash balance, Unrealised value of positions and Transactions not booked. On the right side there is information regarding margin:
Account value - The current value of the account, combining Cash balance, Unrealised value of positions and Transactions not booked. Other collateral Instruments NOT online tradable. For example bonds and other positions transfered from another bank. Not available as margin collateral A percentage of your current investments is available as margin collateral. This line states the amount that is not available as margin collateral. Used for margin requirements The amount currently used to cover your positions, combining Cash balance and the value of un-booked Forex Spot and Forward positions as well as the implied value of un-booked Forex Option positions. Available for margin trading The funds available for margin trading, derived from subtracting Used for margin requirements from Account Value. Net exposure The Net Exposure is the sum of the nominal value of your current positions converted into the base currency of your account. For Forex, this is the total value of all your Forex positions converted to the base currency of your account. Exposure coverage The percentage of the exposure covered by funds available for margin. Margin utilisation The percentage of the available margin which you are utilizing. In the bottom of the Account Summary panel you can find Open Positions, which are grouped according to the instrument class. By clicking + -sign you can see all the individual positions of a specific product and you can add Take profit and Stop loss orders to these positions. 10) Help Choose Help from the top menu bar and click Quick Start where you can find short video tuttorials.
