IMBA students bring to the class their whole selves, meaning their life and professional experiences. Your instructors will use learning activities cases, exercises, exams, and projects to integrate what IMBA students have already as skills, and those recently learned, to create new and better thinking as a business professional. His research is in the area of optimization and game theory, which he applies to inventory management, supply chain management, health care and data-driven decision models used by firms. He has worked with a diverse number of organizations such as various healthcare agencies and hospitals in Canada and the USA, such as Dow, Mattel, Boeing, and Alipay. In his course, Operations and Logistics, you will build on concepts of operations management, strategy, uncertainty and risk to understand how operations integrate with various business functions and how to make intelligent data-driven decisions. The course emphasizes real-life cases, taking examples from corporate industry leaders. The IMBA students come from diverse backgrounds. One interesting aspect of the IMBA class is that in China, and other parts of Asia, a good understanding of operations and adoption of best practices from operations strategy is something firms see as hugely valuable, so teaching a class in China is exciting. 9
