The answers on the form should be in line with the application of the NAC as approved by the EAC. Some items can be completed by providing a check mark or a brief answer (e.g., filling in a date, name, number or address). With other items further descriptive information is required from all NACs. There are also items which some NACs can answer by providing a tick while for other NACs there is a need to supply descriptive information. Further clarification will be needed whenever there is not a uniform arrangement for all fields of practice in a country. Each item has a number and you are asked to provide descriptive information in an Appendix of which the number corresponds with the number of the item. NB Please indicate with the item where you add an Appendix: see Appendix 1, see Appendix 2, etc. The form should be complete when all grey text has been completed. 1

Supervised practice arrangements (for the EuroPsy Certificate) 3a Please describe the arrangements for one year (or equivalent) supervised practice To become a Chartered Psychologist, a year of supervised practice is required after the Laurea Magistrale (Master level). In each University the supervised practice is regulated by a local committee involving the Local Board of the Italian Psychologists and the University. The period of supervised practice must take place at accredited Institutions (University included) and private firms that have an agreement with the University and have at least one psychologist employed. In some cases, when no psychologist is employed, supervision is done by an external psychologist. To date, there is no formal evaluation of the supervised practice. However, on a voluntary bases we are locally disseminating the competence model, involving in a formal evaluation supervisors interested on EuroPsy certification. We asked these supervisors to use the detailed evaluation form for evaluating supervisees on primary and enabling competences. As has already happened with the universities we expect that the involvement of other institutions (eg, health services) may help to better spread the EuroPsy certification 3b Training of supervisors National arrangement for training of supervisors is in place, arranged by the NAC arranged by the national psychologists association(s) offered by universities other (see Appendix XX) Various arrangements for training of supervisors are in place (see Appendix 2) There is no organised training program in the country (evaluation procedure for EuroPsy applicants is specified in Appendix XX) 3c Level of training of supervisors (see Appendix V of the EFPA Regulations on EuroPsy) Most supervisors meet Level 1 criteria Most supervisors meet Level 2 or Level 1 criteria Most supervisors meet Level 3 or higher criteria Most supervisors meet Level 4 or higher criteria Most supervisors meet Level 5 or higher criteria Most supervisors do not meet EuroPsy training requirements 5

Most of the new curricula meet the requirements for EuroPsy, although for some of them students will need to select some course, among elective courses, either in methodology or in theoretical and practical course in psychology, or in both, to meet the criteria. We have also received some requests from students enrolled in the old curricula that were willing to add additional courses to meet the requirements EuroPsy. There is a proposalof a restoration of a single-path (five years), that need to be approved by Italian Parliament. AppendiX 3: In few regions the local board with university, professional societies and union have organized some training for supervisors. Some workshop and conferences were organized for both students and supervisors so that they can share the basic principles of the competence model. To date these initiatives are not coordinate and are scarcely avalaible in all country. We're trying to build a national coordination of local committees in order to share common strategies for the supervision of the practice. 7
AppendiX 4: CPD is required just to psychologists of Public Health, who have to acquire credits on Continuous Education in Medicine. This is a national program of CPD open to all health professions, particularly with regard to the doctors. A recent Italian law extends this requirement to all professionals: the national board of psychologists is working to harmonize these requirements with those established for EuroPsy. The mandatory of a CPD could make the EuroPsy certification more attractive for all professionals who want to document appropriate activities and relevant refresher courses. AppendiX 5: On December 17, 2013 EAC grants the extension of the transitional period deadline to the Italian NAC until March 31, 2014 8
