IT in figures Volkswagen Financial Services AG is Europe s top provider of automotive financial services. At the heart of our dynamically growing company is the IT division, which sets the technological pace for Volkswagen Financial Services AG and its subsidiaries alike. The IT division has about 600 employees in Germany alone. If you factor in the number of employees at our 38 sites across the globe, that figure exceeds 1,200 and is set to rise further. At Volkswagen Financial Services AG, IT is responsible for more than 300 million worth of projects related to aspects such as software, new and further developments, system adaptations and maintenance, both in Germany and the company s international subsidiaries. With almost 800 services, our staff at the headquarters in Brunswick meet the IT needs of around 80 clients worldwide from online banking to sales tools and bespoke applications. The IT division at Volkswagen Financial Services AG in Brunswick handles a total of over 2,900 servers. Approximately 1,900 of these are used to deliver services for the German and international markets, roughly 700 are used for tests/ backups and 300 for development purposes. The backup volume at the Brunswick data centre comprises an incredible 26,000 terabytes. Are you interested in national and international projects? From Brunswick into the whole world Headquartered in Brunswick, we don t just concern ourselves with applications for the subsidiaries of Volkswagen Financial Services AG. Many programs, such as sales and security systems, are also developed for the international market. Thanks to cutting-edge technologies and ongoing development work, there is a steady stream of new, pioneering business areas. This means that, currently, 20 employees are charged with long-term projects and leadership roles abroad. Business trips to national subsidiaries and partners complement these activities. 4
