2015 NORTHEAST FLORIDA ENGINEER S WEEK HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP AWARD Thank you for your interest in the Engineer s Week Scholarship Program. Founded in 1951 by the National Society of Professional Engineers, Engineers Week is celebrated annually by thousands of engineers, engineering students, teachers, and leaders in government and business in the month of February. This consortium includes more than 100 engineering, scientific, and educational societies and major corporations dedicated to enhancing the public understanding of the engineering profession and to promoting precollege interest in math, science, and engineering as a career option. We believe and recognize as a professional industry, that to achieve our Engineers Week objectives, we must include education as a key element. To that end, the 2015 Northeast Florida Engineers Week Committee and the engineering community is planning to award a $1,000 scholarship to two deserving high school students who intend to go to college and major in the engineering profession. An additional scholarship from the Society of Military Engineers (SAME) will also be selected from the pool of submitted applications. Therefore, 2015 Northeast Florida Engineers Week Committee is searching our local community for recipients of this prestigious scholarship award. Scholarship recipients will be recognized at Engineers Week Kickoff Luncheon in mid-february. For more information on Engineers Week, please visit the website at www.nefl-eweek.org.
