The code will be handed out at the Check-In. Poster Prizes The five best posters will be awarded with 500 EUR. Participants who registered and paid until 21 August, 2013, received the namebadge and ticket for local transport prior to the conference via mail. Participants registering and paying later that 21 August, 2013, will receive the documents directly at the Check-In. General Tips for Authors and Presenters Submitting Your Presentation Please prepare your presentation in 4:3 aspect ratio. A presentation notebook with a PDF reader and MS Office PowerPoint 2007 will be provided. The use of personal notebooks is possible a technical supervisor will help you. Please provide an adapter for VGA if necessary. A notebook, presenter and laser pointer are available at the speaker s podium in the lecture hall. Media Check-In The media check-in is located on the first floor of the Philosophicum and is sponsored by Dr. Ing. h. c. F. Porsche AG. Please submit your presentation on the day before your presentation, but no later than 2 hours before your presentation. You will have the possibility to view and edit your presentation on-site. For submission, please use a USB flash drive which should not be protected with software. Time allotment Invited speaker presentations have been fixed to 25+5 minutes for discussion. The length of an oral abstract presentation is 10+5 minutes for discussion. To ensure the smooth running of the entire program, all speakers are requested to adhere to their allocated speaking time. Satellite Symposium Joint Symposium DGfI-AKTI (Transplant Immunology) in association with DGI German Society for Immunology/Working Group Transplant Immunology (DGfI-AKTI) in association with the German Society for Immunogenetics (DGI) New concepts to establish and monitor individualized therapy protocols in allograft recipients Not every patient has the same immune status when he receives an organ allograft and not every patient requires the same amount of immunosuppressive drugs after transplantation. Therefore, the establishment of immunomodulatory therapies which are guided by patient-specific conditions is a major goal in transplantation medicine. New concepts of individualized therapies have recently been developed, based on research in the fields of Transplantation Immunology and Immunogenetics. Experts from both fields will contribute to the scientific discussion on the significance of individualized therapy in transplantation and give an overview on the current status. The joint symposium is addressed to basic scientists, translational researchers, and physicians interested in applied aspects of transplantation biology/immunology. The topics presented will focus on patient monitoring to assess the individual risk for rejection/infection and the development of tolerance after transplantation.
