The Division for International Academic Affairs works in the following areas to meet the University s commitment to achieve the internationalization of its faculty, student body, research and graduate programs: I Exchange Programs II Institutional Agreements III Double Degree IV Internationalization of faculty and phd students V Internationalization of the Graduate Programs VI International Cooperation VII International Accreditation VIII Information Center IX Language Courses X Publications XI Minors in Regional Studies Programs XII other academic cooperative agreements I Exchange programs One of the main purposes of the Division for International Academic Affairs is to promote, develop, organize, and establish formal agreements for cooperation and exchange with foreign universities UC is deeply committed to offering students from around the world the opportunity to participate in graduate and undergraduate programs at UC, as well as to provide students the intellectual and cultural benefits of a study abroad experience Programs are designed according to the needs of the foreign universities and the regulations of UC Due to this flexibility, in the past 18 years UC has created formal agreements with 280 universities from 41 countries, which has led to more than 10,500 international graduate and undergraduate students attending courses at the university In August 1994, UC started formal exchange programs with several institutions in order to offer graduate and undergraduate students the opportunity to study one semester in a foreign university From 1994 to 2007, more than 3,500 students attended universities in the United States, Mexico, Canada, Europe, Asia, Australia, Japan and New Zealand II INSTITUTIONAL AGREEMENTs At present, UC holds exchange agreements with the following institutions: ARGENTINA Pontificia Universidad Católica de Argentina Universidad Austral Universidad Católica de Córdoba, Facultad de Medicina Universidad de Buenos Aires (Architecture, Design, Urbanism) Universidad Nacional de San Juan, Facultad de Ingeniería Universidad Torcuato Di Tella Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires AUSTRALIA Flinders University Griffith University Macquarie University Monash University Queensland University of Technology The Australian National University The University of Adelaide The University of Melbourne The University of Queensland The University of Sydney University of New South Wales University of South Australia University of Technology, Sydney 54
