The Wolf Stadler Scholarship in Engineering (All Engineering) (1 x $500 or 2 x300 ) Undergraduate Junior or Senior in engineering The award will be made to a student who has shown demonstrated significant contributions, service and leadership to the School of Engineering. A minimum 2.5 overall GPA is required The American Public Works Association Scholarship (Civil Engineering) (1 x $500) Undergraduate Junior or Senior in engineering The award will be made to a student who has shown interest in pursuing a career in public works. A minimum 3.0 overall GPA is required 200 or more word essay "Why am I interested in pursuing a career in public works" A statement to demonstrate a commitment to be a student member of APWA during the scholarship year The Michael Sugerman Memorial Scholarship in Engineering (All Engineering) (1 x $500) Undergraduate Junior or Senior in engineering The award will be made to a student who has shown dedication to engineering. A minimum 2.5 overall GPA is required The Peter John Filanc Leadership Scholarship in Engineering (All Engineering) (1 x $500 or 2 x250 ) Undergraduate Junior or Senior in engineering The award will be made to a student who has shown demonstrated significant leadership and service to the School of Engineering or the College of Science and Engineering. A minimum 2.5 overall GPA is required MESA Engineering Program (MEP) Scholarship (1 x $500) Hitachi Scholarship (1 x $750) and PG&E (1x $1000 and 1 x $500) Applicants must be enrolled and eligible members of MEP at SFSU. An updated MEP enrollment form must be on file with MEP. Applicants must be declared engineering majors. Freshmen, sophomores, juniors and nongraduating seniors are eligible to complete. A minimum 2.5 overall GPA is required for Academic Scholarship and a minimum 2.0 for Leadership Scholarships. Please attach one or two sealed envelopes containing a brief letter of recommendation from a teacher, employer, or advisor. These letters could address such issues as academic performance, motivation, communication skills, character, and persistence.
Please attach an essay on the topic Why I Chose to Major in Engineering. The essay must include cover page and be at least 1 full page, double spaced 1-pt font, and no more than 2 pages (excluding cover page). The essay should include at least one reference to a publication. SWE Program Scholarship (1 x $500) Provide any additional information that may support your application, i.e. why you deserve a SWE Scholarship, why you chose engineering as a profession, your plans after graduation, etc. Luigi and Luigia Franco Scholarship (EE) (2 x $1000 or 1 x $2000) Must be a declared EE student at SFSU SFSU GPA of 2.5 or higher.
