Welcome to the chapter management system, also known as officer s only. Below you will find some quick tips about the use of this system. Please note that as functionality is added this document will expand to include appropriate tips and/or instructions. If you have additional questions, please contact the Constiuent Service s Call Center by telephone, 1.888.634.7575 (US/Canada) or +1.317.634.8171 (international), or by e-mailing chapserv@stti.iupui.edu. Chapter officer names are listed here and therefore cannot be shown. This page is an overview of what the Chapter Management System home page looks like. After log-in, this page will be the main page used by chapter leaders. Please note the main features are: STTI Connect formerly Create the Future Announcements Important Links Officer and Committee Chair Report Roster Report Tool

The first changed feature is STTI Connect Chapter Newsletter Editor. This format is slightly different than the previous editor. For more detailed instructions choose Need help? when in the Chapter Management System The editor automatically chooses the next month; however, that can be changed via the drop down menu All chapter submissions must be reviewed and submitted before they are accepted into the system Announcements and Important Links are a new feature for the Chapter Management System. Announcements and Important Links will change as needed so that chapter leaders receive the most upto-date information.

The next changed feature of the Chapter Management System is the Officer and Committee Chair Report. This report allows you to: Add individuals as chapter leaders Edit current chapter leaders Delete current chapter leaders View current, past or future chapter leaders. The Chapter Management homepage automatically shows Current Chapter Leaders; however, you are able to view past or future leaders by choosing the correct category from the drop down menu at the bottom of the Officer and Committee Chair Report. Adding a Chapter Leader Step 1: When adding a chapter leader, verify s/he is not currently listed in this position Step 2: Choose the button Add Individual

The box to the right will appear in your screen. Step 3: Choose the correct position for the chapter leader you are adding. Step 4: Find the appropriate chapter member in that will be filling the leader role. Type the person s name as: Last/Family (space) First/Given only. No other format will be accepted. o Please note that while the system is working you will see a purple bar behind the information you are typing. A list of names will appear with the individual s membership number. Choose the correct individual

Step 5: The start date and end date of the leader must be chosen. The format followed in this section must be: MM/DD/YYYY A calendar will appear so that a leader may scroll through the months and choose the correct date or the date may be typed into the box in this appropriate format. Step 6: After the position, name, start and end date are chosen, click the Ok button to add this individual to this chapter s leader list. This leader will appear in the appropriate category of past, future or current leaders and the system will automatically take you to this category. Editing Chapter Leader terms Step 1: Click on the pencil icon next to the chapter leader you wish to edit.

Step 2: Change the chapter leader s terms to accurately reflect the correct end date. If a leader was re-elected please leave the start date as the original date. This will allow for the most accurate records. Step : Click on the to accept these changes or click on the cancel the change. to Deleting a Chapter Leader Step 1: Choose the button next to the chapter leader that is being removed from service. Step 2: Choose Yes or No on the dialogue box that appears after you choose delete. If a leader s term is/has ended please choose to edit the term dates and insert the correct end date as the leader will disappear the next day.

Roster Reporting Tool The last feature is the Roster Report Tool. The roster report allows chapter leaders to pull a variety of reports about the chapter s membership. Please select the Need Help button in order to see how to run and download these reports.
