These password controls are as follows: Password requirements Passwords are set to expire every 120 days in both PeopleSoft and Pearson LearningStudio. A password must: 1. Be at least 7 characters long. 2. Contain at least one alpha character: A-z 3. Contain at least one numeric character: 0-9 4. Contain at least one special character:! # $ ^ & * () {} [] - _ = + ` ~ ; ' "? /, <> or. 5. Not be too similar to your last password. 6. Not be too similar to your name. 7. Not be found in the dictionary (words 4 or less characters are acceptable) Pearson Password Partner login pages will include a password reset link that will require users to answer their security questions prior to reset. Once their identity is confirmed a time stamped reset link will be sent to their email address which will allow them to create a new password. This link will be valid for 24 hours. 24/7 Tech Support will no longer give passwords to inquiring users. Upon request Pearson Tech Support will send a password reset link to the email on record for the user s account in our system. Please note, if the user does not have access to the email address on record the Tech Support team will direct the user back to their institution for assistance. Security prompt upon login: The user must input an email address where they wish to receive the password rest link.
