Set Up Guide Welcome to GETSHOPINS set up guide. Here you can learn how to prepare your fully functional basic shop in 9 steps.. For more advanced functions visit our knowledge base. 1. Create categories Before starting adding your products, you need to create categories. Categorize your products to create your shop s uniqueness and accessibility for your customers. Category example: Creating categories is one of the first steps you will do while preparing your online shop. When using categories, you can differentiate your products, making them to appear in your shop. knowledgebase/ 1. Press Product management in the menu. 2. Then choose Categories 3. To create a new category press Create new+ 4. Add information to the Create/Edit table, you can see above. 5. Check Active if you want your category to be seen on the main page. 6. You can show categories on the bottom of the main page by choosing Show in front page. 7. To apply color to your category s name check Highlighted. 8. If you want extra categories to be grouped as subcategories to More tab, check Add to more tab. We recommend it in case you have additional categories which you don t want to use as the main ones. 9. You can add a picture for a category which will be seen if you check Show in front page option. To add icon press +image. 10. After you have finished adding your information press Save.

2. Add products After you created your categories, add products. Start with important information, name, price and images. Assign product for category to make it available for purchase. You can easily create a product by adding necessary information. Assign it to a relevant category to make it available for purchasing. 1. Go to Product management in the menu. 2. Press Products. 3. To create a new product press Create new+. Fill information in the table: 4. Check Active to activate the product. 5. Add product name. 6. Create product ID in Pr. ID field. It will help you to find and identify products. 7. Add product price. 8. Add a number of items in Stock. 9. By checking New product you can add a flag to the corner of the product picture in the shop. 10. By checking Popular product you can add a flag to the corner of the product picture in the shop. 11. You can make the product to be available for purchase or order only through enquiries by checking Enquiry only box. 12. Add product description, it will be show in the shop. 13. 3. Add important texts Add About Us, Terms and Conditions, Buying guide, Returns and other texts. Be sure that they are ready before you start selling. Texts appear at the bottom of your shop: All important information such as Terms and conditions, buyer s guide and other relevant texts about your online shop and business should be published there. By default main menus are called About Shop and Help for customers, however, you can change the names. 1. Go to Content and Design in the menu. 2. To add a page press Pages. knowledgebase/

3. Press +Create new. 4. Write the name of the page. 5. You can add a page to the existing ones by choosing one of them in the left field. 6. Add text, information, images and links you need. 7. Press Save to finish. 8. To Edit the text press edit in the page list. 9. You can change the name and text. 10. To finish press Save. 4. Customize your colors, promotions blocks, banners and slides You can customize theme colors and theme font style in Design customization and Color customization windows. You can use color hex numbers to pick precise colors for your theme. There are 12 available color customizations. 1. Theme color 2. Header color 3. Header text color 4. Footer color 5. Footer text color 6. Title line color 7. Title text color 8. Button background color 9. Product tittle color 10. Category text color 11. Category background color 12. Product price color To change Theme font style use Theme font style. Adding header image Header example: knowledgebase/

You can add an image you want to your header and use it as a background instead of a custom color. 1. Press Content and Design in the menu. 2. To add a picture go to Design customization. 3. Find Display window. 4. Find Header background image. 5. Press +image and choose the picture from your computer. 6. Press Save to finish. Adding banners You can add banners to your online shop. They will be shown in your front page. Banners are used for advertising and add uniqueness to your online shop. In a small theme you can t use any banners, in a medium up to 2 banners at a time and in a big up to 5 banners at a time. Banner example: 1. Press Content and Design in the menu. 2. To create a banner go to Banners. 3. Press +Create new. 4. Add a banner using Choose picture. knowledgebase/

5. Press +Image and choose it from your computer. 6. Add the url link in the field Banner link. We recommend creating banners graphically with texts and all information necessary. If you need to, you can add texts using More options. 1. To open More options check More options box. 2. Add your banner s title, this title will be written on your banner. 3. You can activate/deactivate the banner checking Active box. 4. You can add a highlighted text on your banner by writing in the field Featured text. 5. Press Save to finish. Creating promotion blocks You can create promotion blocks which will be shown in your main page. Promotion blocks are an easy way to promote your products. A single block can have up to 5 products and you can have an unlimited number of promotion blocks in your main page. Promotion block example: 1. To create a promotion block go to Promotions. 2. Press +Create new. 3. Name your promotion. 4. To make it active check Active box. 5. In Promotion list press edit on the promotion you want. 6. Choose Assign products. 7. Add the products you want to be in this promotion. 8. Press Save to finish. knowledgebase/

Adding slides Add slides to your online shop to make it more interactive. Like banners slides add uniqueness and are very helpful for advertising. Slides are bigger than banners and you can use an unlimited number of them in any theme. Slide example: 1. Go to Content and Design in the menu. 2. To add a slide go to Slides. 3. Press +Create new. 4. Add a slide by pressing +Choose file. 5. Choose a file from your computer. 6. Press Save to finish. We recommend creating Slides and Banners with all information and texts graphically; however, you can use More options to add texts on your slide. 1. To use more options check More options box. 2. You can activate/deactivate a slide. 3. Write a title of your slide, it will be shown on the slide. 4. You can add a Subtitle, the text will be shown under the Title text. 5. Add main text in the field Text. 6. You can create a button with a text; add it in the field Button text. 7. Press Save to finish. knowledgebase/

5. Add couriers and shipping rates Add your couriers and shipping rates. The rates will be added to the final cost of the purchase for your customer. You can add various couriers and use different shipping methods. You can add couriers that your customers will be able to choose when making a purchase. 1. In the menu go to Settings. 2. To add a courier go to Delivery price groups. 3. Press +Create new. 4. Enter Title of the courier. 5. You can add delivery time for this courier. 6. Press Save to create. Now you have to add price groups for your courier and/or Additional services. 1. Press edit to add additional info. 2. To create delivery price groups press +Create new under Price groups name. 3. Add a tag for a price group. 4. You can activate/deactivate it by checking/uncheking the box. 5. It has to have at least one condition (it can have up to 2). 6. Choose the condition this price tag will apply to. (Type amount, size, weight, price) For example, if a size of a cargo is the one you determine, then this price condition will be applied. You can add an additional condition for a tag., Both conditions should be met for the tag to be applied. 7. Press Save to add. 8. You can add Additional service. The most common is Cash on Delivery. Customers will be able to choose an additional service from this courier if the price tag condition will be met. You can enter services cost and name. 9. Press Save to finish. knowledgebase/

Assigning payment methods to the courier When you create a courier you must to assign it payment methods to be visible for your customers. If courier won t have any payment methods assigned, customer won t be able to see it when picking a payment method. For example if only one courier from all available has Cash on Delivery(COD) assigned as a payment method. After customer whill choose COD payment method he or she will only see that courier in the courier list. 1. To assign payment method press Edit courier. 2. Find Additional services part. 3. Press Assign payment methods. 4. Choose payment methods which are available when using this courier. 5. Press Save to finish. 6. Add company s information It is important that you will add your company s information before start selling. It will be used as your main contact and for invoice generation. 1. In the menu choose Settings. 2. To add your company s information go to Main settings. knowledgebase/

3. Find Company settings window. 4. Enter information in the window. 5. Press Save to finish. Note that information with (*) sign is mandatory. 7. Register and add VoguePay and/or PayPal In order to proceed your payments you have to use one of integrated payment processors. In GETSHOPIN you can use VoguePay for international and Nigerian payments and PayPal for international payments. In order to enable online payments you need to use online payment gateways. In GETSHOPIN we have integrated 2 payment processors VoguePay and PayPal. VoguePay allows you to collect money from your customers online in Nigeria. To do it you need to register in VoguePay and verify your account. VoguePay To register in VoguePay go to https://voguepay.com/register 1. In the menu go to Settings. 2. To add VoguePay go to Payment methods. 3. Choose Shop settings. 4. Add VoguePay merchant ID. 5. Press Save to finish. IMPORTANT: We recommend you to test a transaction before launching the shop. Create an inexpensive product and buy it from yourself. If any problems occur due to transactions make sure that you registered and verified your VoguePay account correctly. PayPal If you want to allow PayPal, you need a PayPal account. To register go here: https://www.paypal.com/signup/account 1. In the menu go to Settings. 2. To enter PayPal information go to Payment methods. 3. Press Shop settings. 4. Find PayPal window. 5. Enter PayPal API Username. 6. Add PayPal API password. knowledgebase/

7. Add PayPal API signature. 8. Press Save to finish. 9. Test a transaction You almost finished. Last step for you is to test if your bank transactions are working. Create cheap test product and buy it from your shop. If you did everything right, transaction will be successful. 10. Advertise your shop Now your shop is ready and fully working. It is important to rise awareness online, it will generate more traffic to your online shop. Online advertising is part of online business and you should use some of digital marketing channels, such as advertising in web sites, search engines and social media. Good luck! knowledgebase/
