Goal To increase the likelihood that a student who needs supportive services or counseling will seek out and secure assistance
Goals To respond effectively to students who are acutely distressed or having thoughts of suicide To help survivors deal with grief and confusion and to promote open/direct talk about suicide to reduce the taboo/stigma for receiving help

Representatives from dean s office, counseling center, res life, ADE, disability services, campus security, or others Meets regularly to discuss students of concern (more often if immediate concerns arise) Students referred as a result of disciplinary actions, faculty/staff concerns, student concerns, or parent concerns Counseling Center role is consultation to the committee, not as an informant regarding their current clients Team determines recommendations and plan of action for students who appear to be a threat to themselves or the campus community
