Configuring the InsideView for Marketing app in Marketo consists of the following six steps: 1. Sign up for InsideView for Marketing: As the first step in the configuration, you ll need to sign up as a Marketo user on the InsideView for Marketing website. 2. Create required custom fields: Create two custom fields: MatchedStatus and LastUpdatedDateByIV in Marketo to track the status of lead enrichment and the date and time at which the data on the lead was enriched. 3. Create a Webhook for InsideView for Marketing: Create a webhook in Marketo for InsideView for Marketing. Webhooks let you take advantage of external web services. 4. Create a Smart Campaign: Create a smart campaign to invoke the InsideView for Marketing webhook based on specific criteria (Smart List and Flow). 5. Create a Smart List and Flow: Create a smart list and a flow step within the smart campaign to send every new lead to InsideView for Marketing for enrichment. 6. Activate the campaign: Once you complete the previous steps, activate the campaign. InsideView for Marketing automatically enriches all the leads that are created in your Marketo account from now. Step 1: Sign up for InsideView for Marketing 1. Go to the InsideView for Marketing sign-up webpage: http://marketing.insideview.com/marketing. 2. Click Marketo, and then on the pop-up window that appears click Sign up now. 3. Type the email address that you want to use for the integration in the Email ID box and click Sign Up. You ll receive an email to the email address you have entered for confirmation. 1
4. Click the link in the email to open the sign up form. 5. Fill data in the mandatory fields and click Submit to complete the sign up process. 2
Note: You can get the Marketo SOAP API Details in the Admin>Integration>SOAP API section. Step 2: Create Custom Fields 1. In the upper-right corner of the page, click Admin. 2. On the left hand side of the Admin screen, under the Admin options, click Field Management. 3
1. On Field Management screen, click New Custom Field. 3. On the New Custom Field pop-up, complete the following steps depending on the field that you are creating: 1. To create the MatchedStatus field: 1. Click the Type drop-down and select String. 2. Enter MatchedStatus in the Name field. The value in the API Name field is automatically populated. 3. Click Create. 4
2. To create the LastUpdatedDateByIV field: 1. Click Type and select Date. 2. Enter LastUpdatedDateByIV in the Name field. The value in the API Name field is automatically populated. 3. Click Create. Step 3: Create a Webhook for InsideView for Marketing Before you create a webhook, copy your SOAP User ID from Marketo. To do so: 1. In the upper-right corner of the page, click Admin. 2. On the Admin screen, under the Admin options on the left, click SOAP API. 3. On the SOAP API screen, copy the User ID. 5
To create a new webhook for InsideView for Marketing, follow these steps: 1. In the upper-right corner of the page, click Admin. 2. On the Admin screen, under the Admin options on the left, click Webhooks. 6
3. On the Webhooks screen, click New Webhook. 4. On the New Webhook screen, enter the following details: 1. In the Webhook Name box, enter a name for the InsideView for Marketing webhook (preferably a name that you can easily recall later). Example: InsideView Marketing. 2. In the URL box (below the Insert Token button), paste the following URL: https://marketing.insideview.com/marketing/admin/marketonotification?leadid={{lead.id:default=edit me}}&accountid={{system.soapid:default=edit me}} 3. Replace {{system.soapid:default=edit me}} in the URL with the SOAP User ID you have copied. 4. Click Create. 7
Step 4: Create a Smart Campaign 1. Once you create a new webhook, click the Marketing Activities tab. 2. Click New, and from the list of options that appear, click New Campaign Folder. 3. On the New Campaign Folder pop-up, in the Name field, enter a name for the folder and click Create. The folder opens in a new tab. 4. Click New, and select New Smart Campaign. 5. Enter a name for the campaign in the Campaign Name box, and click Create. 8
Step 5: Create a Smart List and Flow Step 1. On the left hand side of the Marketing Activities screen, click the name of the campaign to open it. 2. Click the Smart List tab. 3. On the Smart List, drag the Lead is Created trigger. 9
4. Next, click the Flow tab. Drag Call Webhook from the list on the right hand side of the screen. Click the Webhooks drop-down and select the webhook you create for InsideView for Marketing. 10
Step 6: Activate the Campaign 1. Once you set up the Smart List and the Flow step, click the Schedule tab. 2. Click Activate. 3. On the Activate Triggered Campaign pop-up, click Activate to confirm the activation. 11
