AND CANADA, 16 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER FOR ENROLLMENT AT THE ART INSTITUTE OF VANCOUVER ALL INDIVIDUALS PROVIDING THEY MEET THE ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ART INSTITUTE OF VANCOUVER. How to Enter: Beginning at 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time ( PT ) on July 1, 2015 until 11:59 p.m. ET on September 15, 2015 (the Entry Period ) you may enter either the Wanting Qu Rising Star Scholarship competition and/or the Wanting Qu Most Dedicated Artist Scholarship competition (the Promotion ) by emailing your submission to Benjamin Colling at bcolling@aii.edu (the Submission ). Each submission must include entrant s ( Entrant ) full name, age, phone number (including area code), and email address. Limit of one (1) entry per scholarship program per eligible person during the Entry Period. If multiple submissions are received, only the first entry will be accepted and additional submissions will be disqualified. Any attempt by you to obtain more than one (1) entry by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations or logins, or any other methods, may void your submission and you may be disqualified from the Promotion. In the event of a dispute as to any online entry, the authorized account holder of the email address used to enter will be deemed to be the Entrant. The "authorized account holder" is the natural person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address. Potential winners may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holders. To be eligible to enter the Wanting Qu Rising Star Scholarship, scholarship applicants must not have taken or started at any previous time a full-time program at The Art Institute of Vancouver. To be eligible to enter the Wanting Qu Most Dedicated Artist Scholarship, scholarship applicants must be currently enrolled in a full-time professional recording arts program at The Art Institute of Vancouver, have completed a minimum of one quarter of studies, and be in good academic standing. The submission materials must not include: (a) content that violates any third-party rights, including, but not limited to, copyrights or trademark rights; (b) defamatory language; (c) threatening language; (d) language that is sexually explicit, obscene, or indecent; (e) language that promotes alcohol, tobacco, or drug use; or (f) any other language that Sponsor determines is not reasonably related to the Promotion. 2. Timeline: The entry period for both scholarship program starts at 9:00am Pacific Time ( PT ) on July 1, 2015 and runs until 11:59 p.m. PT on September 15, 2015. Any submissions received after the close of the entry period will not be considered. 3. A. Entry Submission Requirements WANTING QU RISING STAR SCHOLARSHIP: During the Entry Period, in addition to the submission entry submitted to the -1-

email address provided (bcolling@aii.edu), all Entrants must submit the following (collectively, the Submission ) to be considered for the Wanting Qu Rising Star Scholarship: (i) a current resume (as defined below), and (ii) a maximum four-minute demo recording that is either instrumental, vocal or both (as defined below), (iii) a maximum 750-word essay stating how winning the scholarship will make a difference in your life and (iv) and a physically signed Release Form (as defined below) (v) current transcript(s) Current Resume You must submit a current resume detailing any volunteer or professional work performed in the music field or any other artistic field (e.g. local music festival volunteer, volunteer staging/audio visual assistance in community or school drama productions, volunteer at any school or community musical event, etc. Please specify the roles you performed and how those roles helped you determine you want to pursue a career in sound.) Demo Recording You must submit a digitally produced demo tape (the Demo Tape ) demonstrating your abilities in the Recording Arts. The Demo Recording can be either an instrumental or vocal recording or both. The Demo Recording should be no more than four minutes in length. Demo tapes longer than four minutes will be disqualified and not considered for the scholarship award. Essay Statement You must submit the essay statement (the Essay Statement ) via the Website at the same time as you submit your Entry. The Essay Statement must be no more than 750 words or 4,768 characters (including spaces), based on the following: Explain how winning the Wanting Qu Rising Star Scholarship will help you achieve your career goals in the music industry. The Essay Statement must be submitted in accordance with the instructions provided to Entrants by Sponsor. All Essay Statements must be submitted in the name of the individual person submitting the Entry and the prize can only be awarded to the person whose name is on the winning Essay Statement. All Essay Statements must be in English and cannot have been submitted previously in a promotion of any kind or exhibited or displayed publicly through any other means. Release Form You must submit a physically signed Release Form (the Release Form ) in conjunction with the Submission Entry that: (i) consents to Sponsor s and its designees use of your name, city, state, likeness, photo, voice or word, Submission and/or prize information in connection with the Promotion for promotional, advertising or other purposes, worldwide, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, including the internet, without limitation and without further payment, notification, permission or other consideration, except where prohibited by law. By uploading a completed Submission, all participants agree that your Submission conforms to the Submission Requirements and that Sponsor, in its sole discretion, may remove your Submission and disqualify you from the Promotion if it believes, in its sole discretion, that your Submission fails to conform to the Submission Requirements. -2-

High School Transcript If you have already graduated from High School, you must submit an unofficial high school transcript (the High School Transcript ), in English, to be eligible for entry. The High School Transcript must meet the requirements set forth below and be received by The Art Institute of Vancouver no later than September 15, 2015: For high school student Entrants - Current high school transcript demonstrating a minimum 2.0 cumulative grade point average (based on a 4.0 scale), a 2.5 cumulative grade point average (based on a 5.0 scale), or the equivalent thereof. 3A. Entry Submission Requirements WANTING QU MOST DEDICATED ARTIST SCHOLARSHIP: During the Entry Period, in addition to the Submission completed and emailed to Benjamin Colling at bcolling@aii.edu, all Entrants must submit the following (collectively, the Submission ) to be considered for the Wanting Qu Most Dedicated Artist Scholarship: (i) an official Art Institute of Vancouver transcript (as defined below), (ii) a current resume (as defined below) and (iii) a maximum four-minute demo recording that is either instrumental, vocal or both (as defined below) and (iv) and a digitally signed Release Form (as defined below). All of your submissions must conform to the requirements set forth below (the Submission Requirements ): An Art Institutes Transcript You must submit an official transcript (the Art Institute Transcript ) to be eligible. The Art Institute Transcript must meet the requirements set forth below and be submitted via mail to The Art Institute of Vancouver, post marked by September 10, 2015 and received no later than September 15, 2015: For Current Art Institutes Student Entrants - Current Art Institutes students demonstrating a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average (based on a 4.0 scale) Current Resume You must submit a current resume detailing any volunteer work performed in the music field (i.e. local music festival volunteer, volunteer sound board engineer.) Demo Tape You must submit a digitally produced demo tape (the Demo Tape ) demonstrating your abilities in the Recording Arts. The Demo Tape can be either an instrumental or vocal recording or both. -3-

The Demo Tape should be no more than four minutes in length. Demo tapes longer than four minutes will be disqualified and not considered for the scholarship award. Release Form You must submit a digitally signed Release Form (the Release Form ) in conjunction with the Submission Entry that: (i) consents to Sponsor s and its designees use of your name, city, state, likeness, photo, voice or word, Submission and/or prize information in connection with the Promotion for promotional, advertising or other purposes, worldwide, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, including the internet, without limitation and without further payment, notification, permission or other consideration, except where prohibited by law. By uploading a completed Entry, all participants agree that your Submission conforms to the Submission Requirements and that Sponsor, in its sole discretion, may remove your Submission and disqualify you from the Promotion if it believes, in its sole discretion, that your Submission fails to conform to the Submission Requirements. 4. How Winners will be Determined/Judging: On or about September 16, 2015, representatives of The Art Institute of Vancouver will identify and review all eligible submissions for the Wanting Qu Rising Star Scholarship. A panel of judges, composed of members of the academic faculty and selected by Sponsor, will evaluate Entrants based on the following criteria. Wanting Qu will help make the final determination of the winner (i) (ii) (iii) 60% based on general characteristics such as originality of content, content, style, technical skills, emotional impact and response all demonstrated via the Demo Tape. 25% based on response to essay statement 15% based on academic grades On or about September 16, 2015, representatives of The Art Institute of Vancouver will identify and review all eligible submissions for the Wanting Qu Most Dedicated Artist Scholarship. A panel of judges, composed of members of the academic faculty and selected by Sponsor, will evaluate Entrants based on the following criteria: (i) 50% based on general characteristics such as originality of content, content, style, technical skills, emotional impact and response all demonstrated via the Demo Tape. -4-

(ii) (iii) 20% based on response to essay statement 30% academic standing as demonstrated through submitted transcripts 5. Representations and Warranties: By submitting the Submission, you represent and warrant that: (a) the Submission is an original work created solely by you; (b) you own all rights to the Submission; (c) the Submission complies with all requirements of these official rules; and (d) you understand that other Entrants may submit Submissions that are identical to yours and that you shall not have any claim against any other Entrant or Sponsor arising out any such similarity or be entitled to any compensation because of any such similarity. 6. Eligibility: This Promotion is open to all individuals as outlined above (see 1. ). All Entrants for the Wanting Qu Most Dedicated Artist Scholarship must provide proof of a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average (based on a 4.0 scale), as of the start date of the Promotion and the date the prize is awarded. Individuals enrolled at an Art Institutes school outside of The Art Institute of Vancouver at the time of entry are not eligible. Former students and graduates of The Art Institutes schools are not eligible. Employees of the The Art Institute of Vancouver and its respective parent companies, subsidiaries, and affiliates, and their advertising and promotion agencies and all local sponsors and members of such employees households and immediate families (spouses, parents, siblings, children and each of their respective spouses) are not eligible. 7. Limitations of Liability: Sponsor, its respective affiliates, subsidiaries, parent, advertising and promotion agencies, and its respective officers, directors, shareholders, employees and agents, and any and all Internet servers and access provider(s) are not responsible for: any incorrect or inaccurate entry information; human error; technical malfunctions; failures, omission, interruption, deletion, or defect of any telephone network, computer online systems, computer equipment, server providers, or software, including any injury or damage to your or any other person s computer relating to or resulting from participation in this Promotion; inability to access the Website; theft, tampering, destruction, or unauthorized access to, or alteration of submissions; transactions that are processed late or incorrectly or are incomplete or lost due to computer or electronic malfunction or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site; printing or other errors; and any submissions that are late, lost, incomplete, misdirected, stolen, mutilated, illegible or postage due, or any combination thereof. Proof of mailing, inperson submission, or online submission is not considered proof of delivery or receipt. All submissions become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned. By entering, all you also agree to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless the Sponsor and its parent companies, subsidiaries, its representatives and agents, advertising and promotion agencies, promotion partners and prize suppliers, and all of its affiliated companies, employees, officers, directors and shareholders, from and against all claims and damages or liability arising in connection with your participation and/or entry in the Promotion and/or your receipt or use of any prize awarded in this Promotion or due to any injuries, damages or losses to any person (including death) or property of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any prize or participation in any Promotion-related activity or participation in this Promotion. Any and all warranties and guarantees are subject to the respective manufacturer s terms. Except where prohibited by law, the winner's entry and acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for the Sponsor to use said winner's and any travel -5-

companion s names, photographs, likenesses, statements, biographical information, voices, and city and state addresses on a worldwide basis, and in all forms of media, in perpetuity, without further compensation. No more than the advertised number of prizes will be awarded. The releases hereunder are intended to apply to all claims not known or suspected to exist with the intent of waiving the effect of laws requiring the intent to release future unknown claims. 8. Prize Conditions: Winners may be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and release of liability and publicity (where permitted), and return same, properly executed, within five (5) days of issuance of prize notification. If Sponsor is unable to contact the Finalist within three (3) days from first notification attempt, if the Finalist fails to complete and return all requested forms by the specified date, or if the Finalist fails to comply with any of the requirements, his/her prize will be forfeited and an alternate Finalist shall be selected by selecting the next-highest scoring Semi-Finalist. Prior to selection of the Finalists and the Grand Prize Winner, Entrants and/or their Submissions may be featured on the Website; however, in no way shall such promotion influence the selection of the Winners. The Winners will be notified by email, telephone, and/or overnight mail delivery on a date on or around October 15, 2015, to be determined by Sponsor. 9. Ownership of Submissions: By submitting material to the Sponsor in connection with the Promotion, you acknowledge and agree that: (a) Sponsor is the sole and exclusive owner, in perpetuity and throughout the world, of all right, title, and interest in and to your Submission, including, without limitation, all copyright, trademark, and other proprietary rights in and to the Submission (and all renewals and extensions thereof now or hereafter provided by law) and all the rights therein and thereto; (b) ownership of the Submission shall inure to the benefit of Sponsor from the date of conception, of creation, or of fixation in a tangible medium of expression (whichever occurs first), of such Submission; (c) your Submission is a "work made for hire" (as that term is used in the United States Copyright Act of 1976, as amended); (d) to the extent that your Submission is not a work made for hire, you hereby assign to Sponsor all right, title, and interest in and to the Submission and all copies thereof that you may have or obtain without any further consideration, free from any claim, lien, balance due, or rights of retention thereto, on your part; (e) you waive all claims to any and all moral rights in the Submission including, without limitation, your right of attribution and integrity; and (f) Sponsor may exploit the Submission (and all rights therein) in any manner throughout the world without restriction of any kind, or payment to, or consent from, anyone. Sponsor reserves the right to modify or edit a winning Submission for content including all copyrights and trademarks, and Sponsor or its assigned agent(s) will have the right to reproduce, publish, adapt, modify and/or revise the Submission, in its sole discretion, in any manner or form throughout the world, in perpetuity. Sponsor will own all rights to the Submission. 10. Conditions of Entry: Entry materials that have been tampered with or altered are void. If, in the judge s or Sponsor s opinion, there is any suspected or actual evidence of electronic or non-electronic tampering with any portion of the Promotion, or if computer virus, bugs, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or technical difficulties or failures compromise or corrupt or affect the administration, integrity, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the Promotion, the judges reserve the right at their sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and void any submissions submitted fraudulently, to modify or suspend the Promotion, or to terminate the Promotion and proceed with the judging process, as outlined in the How Winners will be Determined/Judging section to award the prizes using all eligible, -6-

non-suspect submissions received as of the termination date. Should the Promotion be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, notice will be posted on the Website. No substitution or transfer of prize or cash redemptions permitted, except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute for any reason whatsoever a prize (or portion thereof) of comparable or greater value, at its sole discretion. A bachelor s degree program costs approximately $80,000 and degree diploma program costs approximately $45,000. All Winners or parent/legal guardians are responsible for the remaining tuition and other costs above and beyond the scholarship. Scholarship will be awarded only to an individual who has submitted an application for admission to one of the professional recording arts programs at The Art Institute of Vancouver and such application has been accepted. Scholarship may be used only at The Art Institute of Vancouver location and only for the Professional Recording Arts program. The scholarships will be applied to tuition costs only and are not redeemable for cash. Any difference or remaining balance will be the sole responsibility of the Winners. Scholarship monies will be awarded in the form of tuition credit and will be prorated during the length of the student s degree program or a maximum of eight quarters, whichever is less. In the event education is terminated either by the student or The Art Institute of Vancouver, the scholarships become null and void; in order to receive the pro-rated amount, the scholarship recipient must maintain a minimum of a 2.0 CPGA, be in good academic standing for the duration of their studies at The Art Institute of Vancouver and must be continuously enrolled for a minimum of 12 credits each quarter. In cases where these conditions are not met the recipient will lose the pro-rated amount for the quarter the conditions are not met. Any future quarter scholarship dollars not used will be revoked and will not be available upon re-entry. In the event that the Winners do not qualify to -7-

receive the scholarship or otherwise elects not to accept the scholarship, Sponsor reserves the right to offer the scholarship to the next-highest scoring Finalist. In the event that none of the Finalists qualify to receive the scholarship or otherwise elect not to accept the scholarships, Sponsor reserves the right not to award the scholarships. All costs, taxes, fees, and expenses associated with any element of any prize not specifically addressed above are the sole responsibility of the respective winner. All federal, state and local taxes on prizes are the prize winner s responsibility. Winners will be issued a 1099 tax form for the actual value of the respective prize. Prizes cannot be transferred, substituted, or redeemed for cash except at Sponsor s sole discretion. Disputes/Governing Law: All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these rules, or the rights and obligations of you or the Promotion Entities in connection with the Promotion, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the province of British Columbia without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions which would cause the application or the laws of any jurisdiction other than the province of British Columbia. Any action or litigation concerning this Agreement shall take place exclusively in the provincial courts sitting in British Columbia, and you expressly consent to the jurisdiction of and venue in such courts and waives all defenses of lack of jurisdiction and inconvenient forum with respect to such courts. Any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with this Promotion, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action. You agree to service of process by mail or other method acceptable under the laws of the province of British Columbia.
