ACADEMIC PROJECTS For an Award of MA 1. BOURNEMOUTH UNIVERSITY, United Kingdom. Research Topic- The Night Ahead The use of editing aesthetics to enhance an editors role in Video and Film Making. Description: The project consisted of a 25 minute edited documentary and a written investigation of the various editing processes I used throughout the project. The unit required extensive research, planning and execution of editing and contextualizing it with a written critical research paper that involved theory, aesthetics, professional and industrial context. 2. The FireWire Description: I was required to identify one technological development that had a direct impact on the Post Production process whether detrimental or otherwise. My research on the Fire wire involved a written discussion and evaluation of the Fire wire s historical development, its effects on Film, Broadcasting and how it has affected the role of video and Film Editors.
