The IBR Method: A unique approach to business education T he IBR method has been awarded in 2000 with the prestigious Innovation Prize of the Raiffeisen Bank Association. The Jury's decision was triggered by the exceptionally innovative approach of IBR to train executives. The award was signed by the Federal Minister of Education in Germany. The IBR study method is Project Driven Education : "Less theory more focus on application" IBR values the practical implementation of theory much higher than the mere studying and remembering theoretical facts. Therefore, IBR programmes are set up in such a way that the main readings will not extend more than 10 to 15 % per the student's study time. The main focus is on applying key aspects of these readings in the student's organisation. Consequently, our students are involved in company projects from the beginning to the very end of their studies. IBR MBA application requirements What kind of applicants are we looking for? We are looking for applicants with a high intellectual ability and the capacity to implement their ideas at work. We are looking for motivated people who have a strong desire to learn and who will thrive in an international team-learning environment. What are the IBR requirements? Competition for a place on the IBR MBA programme is strong. As well as completing a detailed application form you will be required to provide evidence of a strong first university education, English proficiency and work experience. As our MBA is practical and reflective, we require all applicants to have at least 2 years of practical full time work experience since graduation to ensure that they are able to contribute to the course and benefit fully from it. Most students have considerably more. There are no upper limits on age and work experience. How to apply Once your local IBR representation receives your application forms and documents, we will select candidates and invite prospective ones for an interview. You come to an interview at your own expense and with no guarantee that you will be offered a place. However, we usually offer places to about two-thirds of the candidates we interview.
