developing footprints in NICF where every step is a milestone Jointly developed by IDA and WDA Jointly developed by IDA and WDA

About NICF About WDA About IDA The National Infocomm Competency Framework (NICF) is part of the Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) system and it was developed as a joint effort by the Singapore Workforce Agency (WDA), the Infocomm Authority of Singapore (IDA) and strategic stakeholders in the infocomm industry. NICF was completed in 2009 and to date, 587 competency standards have been identified for 314 job roles. Besides serving as a national framework for training providers to develop and align their training programmes to, the NICF is used as a tool for businesses to develop their human resource capabilities within the organisation. These may include the development of job profiles, recruitment and interview checklists, training roadmaps, performance assessment and appraisals framework, and inhouse training curriculum. For more information, please visit www.nicf.sg or email nicf@wda.gov.sg The Singapore Workforce Agency (WDA) enhances the competitiveness of our workforce by encouraging workers to learn for life and advance with skills. In today's economy, most jobs require not just knowledge, but also skills. WDA collaborates with employers, industry associations, the Union and training organisations, to develop and strengthen the Continuing Education and Training (CET) system that is skills-based, open and accessible, as a mainstream pathway for all workers - young and older, from rank and file to professionals and executives - to upgrade and advance in their careers and lives. For more information, please visit www.wda.gov.sg The Infocomm Authority of Singapore (IDA) is committed to growing Singapore into a dynamic global infocomm hub. IDA uses an integrated approach to developing infocommunications in Singapore. This involves nurturing a competitive telecoms market as well as a conducive business environment with programmes and schemes for both local and international companies. For more news and information, please visit www.ida.gov.sg 02
