Matchmaking Facility (MMF) aims to assist private businesses (SMEs) in emerging markets to establish linkages with suitable business partners in The Netherlands Type of business relation: - Joint venture - Export / Import to the Netherlands - Transfer of Dutch expertise, knowledge or experience 13
Matchmaking Facility The MMF activity should result to: Structural cooperation, long-term and constructive relationship between the local company and its Dutch partner NOTE: This trade programme is not meant for companies interested in general market research 14
Who can participate? Applicant Eligibility Guidelines: A locally registered company, operating for at least two years has a solid financial base, minimum annual turnover should be EUR 250,000 (Php 1.5 M) has a workforce of at least 10 employees 15
When applying, the local enterprise should Provide a detailed business plan and defined profile of required future Dutch partner Identify unique selling points of their product(s) or services Be willing to provide additional information when required 16
When applying, the local enterprise should Initiate constructive interaction with its assigned MMF consultant Be willing to visit The Netherlands for a tailormade matchmaking visit programme* * NOTE: All travel and accommodation costs to The Netherlands must be shouldered by the Applicant 17
MMF Process: 1.) Application - Complete the application form (in digital format only) and email it to the Netherlands Embassy [MAN-EZ@minbuza.nl] 2.) Screening The Netherlands Embassy and MMF Team will screen your application form 3.) Matchmaking If result of screening is positive, the MMF Team will hire a Consultant to establish contact between the local company and potential Dutch partners 18
MMF Process: The Consultant will undertake the following activities: - Write a quick scan about the sector in the country of the applicant for interested Dutch companies - Arrange a programme for the applicant to visit possible Dutch partners 4.) Evaluation Six months after the visit programme, the Consultant will write an evaluation 19
Reminders: In case of negative screening, the MMF Team may refer promising applications to other organisations that offer training programs. Information provided by the applicant will be treated confidentially, and will not be used for any other purpose than the matchmaking procedure 20
